This is a beta release of this mod. While the basics seem to be working, we are still testing more advanced settings and operations, as well as redesigning and cleaning up the UI.

OVERVIEW

The goal of this in-development mod is to add proximity based voice chat to the game. and more...

Two-way radios will be a part of this for longer range communication, but their not magic.

Portable - Player can hold a radio and use it to talk to players who are somewhat close.

Base Station - Longer range radio block that must be placed and connected to an antenna.
Antenna height does matter.

Modular Repeater - Link multiple receivers/transmitters togeather to rebroadcast signals over a much larger area.

Microphone Disclaimer:
Audio from your microphone is sent via unencrypted UDP packets to your Minecraft server, it's players, and (depending on configuration) possibly to our master server for connectivity to players in other games. Do NOT assume your audio is private anytime your microphone is not explicity muted.

This mod is not to be used in any way that may be considered unlawful. If unlawful activity is suspected, we will gladly involve law enforcement. 

AI Disclaimer:
AI programming utilities have been used to make this generation of this mod possible. I (Dylan) understand how the general feeling towards AI is, and while we could not get this mod to where it is today without it, I'd like to be transparent with potential users about it's use for those who may change their decision based on this information.

Usage Rights:
Just make sure you give USA Channel 22 some sort of credit, along with contact info. This mod is not being releaed for profit, it's being released for the community to enjoy, so if you want to take this and use it yourself, with friends, or rebuild it into your own version, just don't pretend you did it without us lol. I don't believe free community software should be controled and regulated in the same manner as paid copyrighted content that effects families affording dinner.

ROAD MAP

First Build:
Hammer out any bugs, get the basic prox chat and radio equipment in place, and test thuroughly.

HF Radios:
We have UHF radios right now. We do plan to at least add HF base stations and repeater modules, which would be effected by time of day.

Cell Phones:
The idea has been tossed around. As you could imagine, they would rely on towers just as well, and well work like cell phones would, but this is down the line.
