Unique Accessories 2.0.0

Version 2.0.0 brings together the code overhaul, accessory balance changes, expanded configuration, tooltip improvements, and additional languages.

Highlights

  • Reviewed the effects, descriptions, and configuration of all 45 accessories, consolidated shared behavior, and fixed bugs.
  • Expanded configuration for 44 accessories, excluding Withered Heart: 229 effect and behavior settings plus 103 loot chances, for 332 settings in total.
  • Added automatic default-value migration that preserves custom values across all settings.
  • Tooltips now display without holding Shift, with clearer controls, activation conditions, ranges, durations, and current values.
  • Added Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, German, and French alongside Japanese and English.

Accessory balance changes

Changes are classified relative to the version before the overhaul. Buffs include added effects and fixes that improve performance; nerfs include removed effects and narrower eligibility.

Buffs

Life Jacket Belt

  • Added +4 armor while in water or at the surface.
  • The configured buoyancy multiplier also applies at water edges where the wearer touches water but their central block column contains none.

Sharp Fishing Hook

  • Increased default damage on impact and when reeling in from 2 to 6.
  • Added +50% fishing hook launch speed.
  • Fixed horizontal pulling force weakening with large height differences. Additional vertical pull and the upward response are retained.

Amplifier Stone

  • Changed goat horn damage to: within 4m, 8 damage; within 8m, 6 damage; within 16m, 4 damage; within 32m, 2 damage.

Cursed Doll Head

  • Added +10% damage against targets affected by a harmful status effect.

Durable Spring

  • Jump enhancement now scales with jump height. The default is +50% height.
  • Added horizontal acceleration in the direction of travel when jumping while moving.

Hero Emblem

  • Changed the low-health activation condition to HP at or below 10 OR at or below 50% of maximum HP.

Strong Sticky Slime Ball

  • Removed the permanent movement-speed penalty.
  • Crouching now grants 100% knockback resistance and prevents displacement from explosions and pushing.

Royal Honeycomb

  • Summoned bees now receive their movement-speed bonus while airborne as well.

Power Crystal

  • Extended support beyond bows to crossbows, tridents, and items that use standard charged-use behavior.

Blade Shoes

  • Added a base 2-damage hit against mobs near the wearer's feet while sprinting.

Rocket Shoes

  • Holding jump while flying with an elytra now accelerates you in the direction you are looking.

Tabi

  • Increased the default walking-speed bonus from +10% to +20%.

Snow Golem Doll

  • Snowball bonus damage now adds to vanilla damage correctly against blazes. With default settings, snowballs deal 2 damage to ordinary mobs and 5 damage in total to blazes.

Ninjutsu Manual

  • Extended support to modded blocks that use standard contact handling or floor speed factors.

Waist Warmer

  • Morning healing changed from a flat 10 HP to 50% of maximum HP, increasing recovery when maximum HP exceeds 20.

Nerfs

Starved Wolf Skull

  • Healing from melee hits now requires a food level of 6 or lower.

Still Beating Heart

  • Removed the permanent attack-damage bonus. The damage bonus at full HP is retained.

Rusty Guillotine Blade

  • Reduced the default conditional damage bonus from +80% to +60%.

Suspicious Mushroom

  • Both the damage bonus and the start of healing now require harmful status effects.
  • Glowing, Bad Omen, and neutral effects from other mods no longer activate either effect.

Configuration and existing data

  • Expanded accessory-specific toggles and settings for attributes, power, range, duration, chance, movement, and other behavior.
  • Organized the configuration screen by accessory, with units, bounds checking, and default-value restoration.
  • Multiplayer clients receive the server's values and display a read-only configuration screen.
  • Rejects incomplete, duplicate, incorrectly typed, or out-of-range synchronized values, while keeping local and server settings separate.
  • Attribute bonuses follow setting changes, toggles, and unequipping. Cosmetic-slot callbacks no longer remove functional equipment effects.
  • Fixed stale attribute bonuses carrying into the next world after a configuration reload at the title screen.
  • Records the previous default and manual-change history for each setting, migrating only unchanged old defaults to new defaults.
  • Preserves manually chosen values, including values restored to old defaults or values that happen to match a later default.

Tooltips and localization

  • Effect descriptions for all 45 accessories are visible without holding Shift.
  • Controls, activation conditions, targets, ranges, durations, staged bonuses, and key values now match actual behavior.
  • Updated other languages and tooltip bindings to follow the revised Japanese text, correcting value placement, order, units, and percentage changes.
  • Standard descriptions and values are gray; penalties and negative modifiers are red.
  • Tooltips reflect disabled effects, zero healing, and zero duration, showing only enabled features.
  • Supports eight languages: Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, German, and French.
  • Sorted language keys alphabetically, shared common descriptions and setting labels, and removed unused or duplicate language data.

Other bug fixes

  • Fixed Tool Belt unintentionally speeding up interactions other than block placement.
  • Fixed horizontal speed loss when sprint-jumping with Durable Spring equipped.
  • Fixed Snow Golem Doll's bonus snowball damage not applying to blazes. With default settings, snowballs now deal 5 damage in total (3 vanilla + 2 bonus).
  • Fixed Rose of Temptation forcibly luring idle or stationary neutral mobs whose movement AI is disabled or unavailable.
  • Golden Egg acquisition is checked only on actual chicken egg laying, fixing dropped eggs near chickens being converted.
  • Royal Honeycomb acquisition now follows actual harvesting, prevents rewards from canceled interactions, and supports dispenser harvesting.
  • Plant cutting, fire lighting, and snow placement respect player permissions, world boundaries, and Forge break/place protection events.
  • Silver Cat Tail's lethal-fall check uses final damage after absorption has been applied.
  • Fixed a loot-reference typo and duplicate loot entries.

Internal cleanup and maintainability

  • Consolidated equipment checks, attribute updates, tooltips, configuration definitions, and input handling.
  • Attribute modifiers update when their value or operation changes, reducing repeated reconstruction of static bonuses every tick.
  • Reduced unnecessary nearby-entity searches, entity-retention maps, and persistent state created for unequipped players.
  • Consolidated continuous Rocket Shoes input updates to once every 2 ticks and goat-horn particle communication to a single origin message.
  • Reuses known heat-source positions while rechecking invalid sources and range changes.
  • Removed duplicate login configuration syncs, repeated conversions, empty event handlers, unregistered equipment classes, and unnecessary methods and imports.
