please dedicate at least 6 GB of allocated memory for it to play cleanly, you can do this by going to the profile options of the modpack. i unfortunately cannot do this myself for you. i tried it with the default 4 GB memory and found it unplayable (i have always ran 6GB while testing so i forgot its not a default).

When I was a kid and watching iBallisticsquid's Race to the Moon series. I found that the climatic "going" to the moon, very much underwhelming. A loading screen... and you made it? The biggest hurdle of getting to another planet should be navigation, not entirely construction. Alas, as a kid I was powerless. Watching other mods do the same thing growing up, I could only imagine what it would be like. Recently I came upon this idea independently, but then thought that it would have already been made by now. And I came to the conclusion of: kinda? But not in the way I had envisioned. I had played a lot of Kerbal Space Program, and wanted the KSP aspects but the minecraft worlds.
Is this worth it to make?
I had made mc mods in the past that were based on books/games just for myself. So there is no other answer except yes because yes for me.
Is this worth it... for others?
The reason you are seeing this at all is because i thought this was worth it to share.
What makes it good?
I think a few aspects of this make me feel a certain amount of joy, that I cant exactly explain and hope other people also have, that I can list out here:
1. The world is finite and thus: exploration is novel.
2. Space is discoverable and traversable and thus: exploration is exciting.
3. Seeing the whole world at once, even at ground level, makes the world feel real.
4. The ability to move around and see other people inside the rocket, makes it feel significant.
