Ever typed "wasd" in JEI's search bar and watched your character walk into lava?
Typing Lock freezes your character while you type in a text field.
What it blocks while you type
- Walking (forward, back, left, right)
- Jumping and sneaking
- Every other action key (drop item, hotbar, etc.)
It runs after movement mods like InvMove, so it works even when they let you walk with a screen open.
Detected text fields
- Vanilla text fields in any screen (creative search, anvil, signs, mod menus…)
- Custom mod text fields (search boxes in backpacks, storage mods, etc.)
- Overlays like JEI: as soon as JEI captures a key, movement is locked for 1.5 s, extended with each keystroke
Nothing to configure.
