Typical Heroes Server Compatibility Fix

A lightweight coremod for Minecraft 1.12.2 that improves Typical Heroes compatibility with dedicated servers, especially SpongeForge.

Typical Heroes is marked by its author as not fully compatible with dedicated servers. This project provides a very small runtime patch that addresses one of those issues without modifying the original mod.

What it does

This coremod simply disables the problematic LivingFallEvent hook used by Typical Heroes on dedicated servers.

As a result, it:

Restores normal fall damage.
Removes the constant particles rendered beneath players.

Nothing else is intentionally modified.

Compatibility

This is not a replacement for Typical Heroes.

You must install:

Typical Heroes Server Compatibility Fix (this coremod)

Most of Typical Heroes should continue to work normally. However, because the LivingFallEvent hook is disabled, some hero-specific behavior that depends on that event may behave differently. This has not been fully tested.

About this project

This is intentionally a very small and simple coremod. It does not attempt to rewrite or improve Typical Heroes; it only disables a single problematic event hook on servers.
