What's new

The first public release of Tycoon Market. Every item gets a market value - worked out from what it takes to find or to craft it - and that value moves with trade: buying pushes a price up, selling pushes it down, and quiet days let it sink. Everything is paid through the Money mod; the date comes from Tycoon Calendar.

Added

  • A price for (almost) everything. Over 1,200 vanilla items have a base price, everything craftable is priced from its real recipe (ingredients plus 10 percent for the work), and other mods' items are priced from the server's own recipes - so crafting back and forth never prints money.
  • Prices that move. Every unit bought raises the price, every unit sold lowers it; each Minecraft day prices drift back towards 75 percent of the base price, and they never go below a quarter or above four times the base price.
  • Market Terminal. Categories, search, buy and sell prices with the 7-day trend, price charts over 30 days, 90 days or a year. "+" buys 1 (Shift a stack, Ctrl 16), "−" sells 1 (Shift a stack, Ctrl all).
  • Market Depot. An automatic seller: hoppers and pipes put goods in, and it sells them once a second for its owner at the same price as by hand, also while the owner is offline.
  • Prices in tooltips. "Market: $x.xx" on every item the market deals in, Shift for the whole stack.
  • Daily contracts. Three new orders every Minecraft day that pay twice the base price.
  • Auto-buy while printing. With Forgematica and the NeoForgematica Printer on the client, the server buys the material the printer places next - only what is missing, at the terminal price, clean cash only, with a daily limit per player. Off by default: /market autobuy on. Packs can tie it to a nearby terminal (autobuy.terminalRange) or switch it off.
  • For packs: data packs for prices, events and contracts; a price multiplier; an optional daily volume with a second, lower floor; buy-only locks from Tycoon Skills; store shelves from Tycoon Retail.
  • For developers: MarketAPI for prices, quotes, history and recording your own shops' trades.

Notes

  • Client and server need the same version (network protocol 6).
  • Market events (droughts, mining booms, ...) are on in singleplayer only by default.
