Tycoon Exchange 0.2.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Tycoon Exchange puts two markets into Minecraft: a stock exchange at the Broker Terminal and a power market behind the Grid Connection. Prices follow real history day by day and hour by hour, read from the date of Tycoon Calendar, and everything is paid through the Money mod.
Added
- Broker Terminal. Trade 32 stocks whose daily closing prices follow real history from 1990 (or the day they went public) to October 2026; after that they are simulated, fixed per world. Companies go public, three go bankrupt, dividends are paid, and splits multiply your shares while the chart stays split-adjusted. The companies carry invented names.
- Orders move the price. A large order pushes the price against you, measured against the real trading volume of the day, and the move fades over a few days.
- Short selling and leverage. Bet on falling prices or borrow up to five times your stake: 8 percent interest a year on the loan, 3 percent borrow fee, a margin warning at 15 percent and a forced close below 10 percent. A loss beyond your position and your account stays as a debt with the broker until it is paid.
- Grid Connection. Sells the Forge Energy your machines feed in at the day-ahead electricity price of the hour (real hourly prices from 2015, estimated for 2000 to 2014), in dollars at the exchange rate of the day. It can also draw power from the grid, with price limits for automatic selling and drawing.
- Contract customers. Supply tenants, a factory or a data centre at a fixed price for a year. Power you cannot deliver is bought for you as balancing energy; cancelling a contract costs a month of it.
- A market that has a size. What is left after your contracts goes into the market of your voltage level - local grid, town, region, country. Its size follows a real load profile, a large share of your own lowers the price, and nothing sells beyond the whole market. Negative prices stop your sales or cost money, as you choose.
- Four tiers. From low to extra-high voltage; the tier stays with the block when you break it. All your connections at one level share one market and serve your contracts together.
- Tycoon Skills (optional). A modpack's skill tree can hold back the upgrades to medium, high and extra-high voltage.
- Readable screens. English and German; large amounts turn compact ($1.23M) where the full figure would not fit, and shortened lines show in full on hover.
- Grid Connection screen. A status band says in one line what a kWh brings and costs right now and what the connection is doing; the overview shows labelled values, a bar for the power in use, the day's price curve and today's money; customers are a table. Numbers carry units and fit GUI scale 3 on a 1280 x 720 window.
- Recipes for both blocks.
