What's new

Turret TaCZ 0.8.6-beta

A bug-fix update for 0.8.5-beta.

Added

  • Option to stop turret explosions from breaking blocks: in the world's server config (serverconfig/turrettacz-server.toml), set blockDamage = false under [server.explosions]. Mortar and 20 mm HE shells then only hurt entities. Both also follow the mobGriefing game rule.

Fixed

  • Freezes when turrets fire. With a short render distance, or with turrets near the edge of the loaded area, every shot could make the game freeze for a moment: mobs stopped and turrets fired very slowly. Turrets no longer force the game to load far-away terrain when they fire.
  • The mortar no longer causes the same freezes when its target, or the point where it leads a moving target, lies in an area that is not loaded.
  • Better performance around large numbers of modded mobs.
  • Friendly NPCs are no longer shot. Turrets used to treat some friendly mobs as enemies: MineColonies citizens and guards, iron golems fighting monsters, and NPCs from other mods. A mob that is not a monster is now only targeted while it attacks a player, a villager, a turret or one of your allies.
  • MineColonies support: citizens, visitors, mercenaries and cavalry horses are protected by default.

Compatibility

  • Works with worlds and turrets from 0.8.5. Servers and players on 0.8.5 and 0.8.6 can still play together, but updating both is recommended.

Thanks for the report!
