- True Diet stays mostly true to vanilla by just giving food purpose.
- Does not add a full complex tree of nutrition, but rather a simple to follow tier system.
- Adds Only 5 golden versions of the actual vanilla foods, to give golden carrots and golden apples something to compete with.
Features
1. Symmetrical Food Intake & Saturation Ladder
Food is calibrated into a strict, balanced intake hierarchy with 1:1 intake velocity parity between quick foraging snacks and hearty meals:
| Tier | Saturation | Representative Foods |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 (Fast) | 4 | Sweet Berries, Glow Berries, Dried Kelp, Beetroot |
| Tier 1 (Slow) | 8 | Raw Potato, Cooked Chicken, Cooked Porkchop |
| Tier 2 | 10 | Cooked Mutton, Cooked Cod, Carrot, Melon Slice |
| Bread | 10 | Bread |
| Tier 3 | 12 | Cooked Beef, Cooked Salmon, Baked Potato, Apple |
| Tier 4 (Gold Nugget) | 14 | Golden Mutton, Golden Cod, Golden Carrot, Glistering Melon |
| Tier 5 (Gold Ingot) | 16 | Golden Steak, Golden Salmon, Golden Baked Potato, Golden Apple |
Enchanted Golden Apple: Remains at the Top with 16 Saturation like the Golden Apple while keeping all of its vanilla combat buffs.
Why is Porkchop Tier 1? I liked the golden mutton texture more than the porkchop one when creating them and had to fill a T1 spot. (Besides why are you killing pigs ?)
2. Profession Graces & Utilities
Golden foods grant dedicated utilities with strict mutual exclusivity (eating across pillars replaces; Tier 2 cleanly upgrades Tier 1):
- Miner's Grace (Golden Carrot / Golden Baked Potato): Deepslate instamining when paired with Haste II & Efficiency V. (Tier 2)
- Builder's Grace (Golden Cod / Golden Salmon): Extends block placement and attack reach up to +3.0 blocks.
- Blacksmith's Grace (Golden Mutton / Golden Steak): Discounts anvil XP costs by 33% (Tier 1) or completely bypasses the 40-level "Too Expensive!" limit (Tier 2).
3. The Domestic Hearth Rituals
Kindle any lit campfire with 1 Wheat to prepare a hearth. Consuming wholesome stews at the kindled hearth will start a hearth ritual :
- Pilgrim's Veil (Rabbit Stew): The hearth emits an inventory/armor repair pulse every 60 seconds.
- Shepherd's Veil (Mushroom Stew): Repels hostile monsters, grants wildlife sanctuary, and invites cozy foxes to curl up and sleep safely by the fire.
- Hearth Rituals are a temporary beacon emitting from the Campfire with a 10min timer.
- Hearth Rituals will apply some debuffs on the player (Think of them as a downtime phase).
- Players who leave the ritual range will lose all buffs and debuffs (just like a beacon).
4. Agrarian Soil Preservative
- Right-click dry farmland with a Poisonous Potato to permanently preserve it.
- Keeps soil fully moist, and trample-proof.
