One tool where three would be: a paxel mines everything a pickaxe, an axe and a shovel each mine, and strips, scrapes, waxes off, tills and douses as they do. It is made from the three tools, so it lasts as long as all three.

First release.
Six paxels — wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond and netherite — each mining everything the pickaxe, the axe and the shovel of its own material mine, at that family's own speed, and reaching what a hoe reaches without being made of one.
- Right-click does what all three do: stripping, scraping, dewaxing, tilling and dousing a campfire.
- Crafted from the three tools themselves, undamaged, and it lasts as long as all three.
- The hoe comes free: not in the recipe, so it costs no fourth tool and adds no durability.
- It tills but does not flatten a path — the two answer the same click and nothing tells them apart, so one had to go.
- In
#pickaxes,#axesand#shovels, which is what makes the mining enchantments apply. - A wooden paxel burns in a furnace, for as long as the wooden pickaxe it is made from.
- Blocks other mods put in the vanilla mining tables are covered without per-mod code.
