Trick-or-Treat Town

A Halloween festival with 16 trick-or-treat stops, daily quests, a timed race, hidden pumpkins and six ticket-shop prizes.

Trick-or-Treat Town — Halloween Festival

Explore a command-built Halloween festival with 16 decorated houses and buildings, candy collections, quests, a timed race and ticket prizes.

Festival activities

  • 16 trick-or-treat stops: Pumpkin Cottage, Witch House, Haunted Manor, Candy Shop, Spooky Bakery, Town Hall, Haunted Library, Pumpkin Lodge, Costume Boutique, Moon Clock Tower, Potion Cafe, Pumpkin Farmhouse, Haunted Hotel, Sweet Factory, Festival Hall and Midnight Theater.
  • Festival hub: three interactive kiosks open your guide, prize shop and Midnight Dash.
  • Candy collections: right-click labeled entrances at night. Each player can collect once per stop type per Minecraft day, earning candy and one ticket. Wear a carved pumpkin for bonus cookies. Harmless tricks can cause a witch laugh and brief glowing.
  • Daily destination quests: your personal assigned house pays five bonus tickets when you collect there.
  • Midnight Dash: visit Pumpkin Cottage, Haunted Library, Potion Cafe and Midnight Theater IN ORDER within 180 game seconds. Already-collected houses still count as checkpoints. Win eight tickets and three golden carrots, once per Minecraft day. Failed runs can be retried; the timer pauses while offline.
  • Six ticket-shop prizes: snacks, glow kit, pumpkin trophy, decorations, festival picnic and a Festival Crown. The crown is a named golden helmet with its vanilla model.
  • Hidden-pumpkin hunt: find three collectible pumpkins inside the bakery, manor and library. Each gives two tickets and candy once per Minecraft day.
  • Full festival prize: collect at all 16 stops in one Minecraft day for a golden apple, 30 seconds of Speed and six bonus tickets.
  • Collection milestones: advancement toasts at 16, 64 and 128 total rewarded house visits.
  • Optional daytime pass: collect during the day without changing world time or resetting daily limits.

Install and build

Requires Minecraft Java 26.3, Forge 66.0.11 and Java 25. Install the current mod JAR on client and server for multiplayer.

Start an empty, flat TEST world with cheats enabled. Stand at the southwest corner of your planned festival area and run /function trickortreat:build. Leave at least two blocks of clear walking room around the area. Wait until night or use the daytime pass, then right-click the labeled entrances.

The generator replaces existing blocks in a 74 x 64 footprint: from your position through +73 X, +63 Z, +13 Y, plus the floor one block below you. Never run it over builds you want to keep. Back up existing worlds first.

Updating an existing world: replace the old JAR, run /reload, and generate the enlarged festival in a NEW empty area. Currency and personal collection flags are retained. All towns share per-stop daily limits; rebuilding does not reset rewards.

Experimental beta status

Compiled successfully with Java 25. Resource links, fill limits, hidden-pumpkin positions, entrance and kiosk walking approaches, shop spending guards, quest mappings and race route checks passed. It has not yet been launched or tested in Minecraft. Command parsing, visual layout and multiplayer gameplay still need in-game verification.

Candy and prizes use vanilla item models. Buildings are generated by the build command, rather than spawning naturally. No custom mobs or dimensions are included.
