Tribal Power 5.3.12 - The Full Bestiary

Every creature of the March has its page now, and a long list of things that quietly did not work, work.

  • The whole bestiary is in the Codex. Sixty-six creatures that had no page now have one: trolls, goblins, kobolds, fays, shades, the walking trees, the grazers and hunters of every land, and the Colossus Warden (no longer sharing its name with the Weeping Colossus tree). Each page gives health, armour, what its attack does, where it lives and what it drops. The Shallows finally have their own description.
  • Guardians fight like they were meant to. After about three waves a guardian stopped calling adds, and the adds it did call never went after players. Adds now keep coming and hunt you, bonded adds stay yours after the fight, and a guardian that vanishes without dying no longer leaves its altar refusing forever.
  • Drum duels are fair. A modified client could claim a perfect score in an instant; points are now capped by the notes you actually hit. Closing the play screen any way other than finishing no longer leaves the drum refusing every later song.
  • Glimmer Storms dull the Drumheart, as the Codex always said: half the Pulse while one rages overhead (the same weather setting every other generator uses). A drum capped out of its zone now says so in its diagnosis.
  • Spirit leggings really shed snares. Cobwebs and berry bushes no longer slow the wearer, and Earth leggings stride over soul sand, on your own screen and not just the server's.
  • Loom boots stitch. The walking stitch never fired; it does now.
  • No boss in the Cradle. A Bound Effigy can no longer imprint or summon the Colossus Warden.
  • No more wool from nothing. Unweaving Spiritweave gives back one wool, not two.
  • Song Vines let go. Two vines on different faces could light each other forever; they now fade like Song Thread. The vines also stopped doing a full recompute every tick.
  • The Codex tells the truth. Spiritgear durability (1,561; shears 1,024), the Resonator's real output and its catalyst wearing out, the Harmonic Energizer's 60 Pulse a second, cell sizes, Gate Drum trips, how totems wake, Elder trades, where Tablet 7 is found, a dozen recipes, the chalk range, and eight March lands, not six. Song Thread's page now says it needs Loom Thread from the March, and charm flight is credited to every charm carrying the Air voice.
  • Smaller fixes. Dialogue answers are no longer drawn under the panel; creative sneak-use cycles a mural instead of tearing it down; an offhand pouch shows the right slot; gate portals take their tint when placed and when the keystone changes; a bad saved Verse Plate step no longer crashes the world; a refused hearth offering and a stilled gate now say why.
  • Lighter on the server. Spirit-voice leggings stop sending a packet every tick, guardians and Rift Hounds stop scanning huge boxes for players, stalled machines stop re-saving their chunk every beat, and the large tree and relay caches are dropped when the server stops.
