What's new

Tree Carve runs on Minecraft 26.1, 26.2 and 26.3 as well as 1.21.1, and server admins can see and take down what is carved.

Added

  • Tree Carve runs on Minecraft 26.1, 26.2 and 26.3. Each version has its own Fabric and NeoForge jar, alongside the 1.21.1 pair, built from the same source, so a fix lands on every version at once. Every jar's name carries its Minecraft version: tree-carve-fabric-2.0.0+26.3.jar. On 26.x it needs Java 25, Architectury API and Fabric Language Kotlin or Kotlin for Forge, as on 1.21.1.
  • An operator can see who cut a carving. Look at a carved face and run /treecarve who: the author's name, the text and how many symbols it holds.
  • An operator can take one carving down, or every carving one player has cut. /treecarve remove clears the face you are looking at; /treecarve removeall <player> clears all of that player's carvings in every dimension, online or not. Each removal is written to the server log with who did it and what it said.
  • An operator can find every carving one player has cut. /treecarve list <player> lists them across every dimension, and clicking a line suggests the command to go there.
  • A server can keep words off its trees. Words added with /treecarve config blockedWords add <word> are masked with asterisks wherever they stand as a whole word, in any case. A carving never passes through chat, so a chat-filter mod does not catch it; this list does.

Changed

  • The sponsor link on each store page is tagged with the mod and the store. A sponsorship started from the Modrinth or the CurseForge page records where it came from.
  • Releases are announced in the shared #announcements channel. Each card pings the Tree Carve role, so only the people who asked for it are notified, and the store and wiki links are buttons.
  • The release note on a fixed ticket is in English only.

Removed

  • The old 0.3.1 in-game checklist is gone from the repository. It described the form that the 1.0.0 canvas replaced; the checks that still apply live with the project's QA notes.

Known issues

  • A world carried over from 1.21.1 to 26.x does not bring its carvings along. 26.x keeps them in a file of a different name, and the old one is not read. A world started on 26.x keeps its carvings like any other.
