Description
Transcendental is an End overhaul mod made to give the dimension a lot more to do and explore without making it feel completely different from vanilla Minecraft. It adds new blocks, plants, mobs, structures, terrain, ores, mechanics, and other features that make the End feel more alive. More biomes are also planned as development continues.
The Ender Dragon fight has been revamped too, including a new title screen and new lore surrounding the dragon and the End itself. Instead of the dragon fight just feeling like something you do before getting access to the outer islands, Transcendental tries to make it feel like a much bigger event. The new lore also gives more hints about what could have happened in the End before the player ever arrived.
Right now, the Vioacid Wastes is the first and only new biome added by Transcendental, although more End biomes are planned. The Vioacid Wastes is extremely hot and toxic, and the environment actually reacts to things inside of it. Purpur blocks placed in the biome will slowly burn and turn into a new block called Dark Purpur. The heat can affect mobs too. If a mob stays inside the biome for too long, it can eventually catch on fire, making the area dangerous to stay in for long periods of time.
There are also new creatures to find throughout the End. One of them is the Koba, a friendly flying mob that can be tamed using chorus fruit. Once you tame one and give it a saddle, you can ride it across the End. This makes traveling between islands and crossing large areas of the void a lot safer.
Voidants are the residents of End Cities and End Metropolises. You can tame them using a Kyrie Block, which can be somewhat difficult to get, but a tamed Voidant can be extremely useful. Different tools give them different jobs. Giving one a hoe makes it farm, a pickaxe makes it mine, an axe makes it chop wood, a sword makes it fight mobs, and a shovel makes it dig. You can also place a chest near a tamed Voidant to assign that chest to it. After that, just give it the tool for the job you want and it can start working for you.
Shulkers also have a new drop called Gloo. Gloo works as an alternative to slime for redstone builds and can be used for sticking blocks and other movable pieces together when working with pistons. This gives players another way to build piston contraptions without always needing to find slime, as for slime not being able to work with blocks like obsidian , gloo got you covered.
Transcendental currently adds three new ores to the End, and each one has a different purpose.
Tanzanite is mainly meant for building and decoration. It can be crafted into things like bricks, bars, decorated Tanzanite glass, and glass panes. It gives builders more options while still fitting with the look of the End.
Kyrie is basically the gold of the End, but it also has its own redstone uses. Placing Kyrie next to a redstone block can increase how far its signal reaches, going from 20 blocks to 35 blocks. Kyrie can also be used to craft a Kyrie Generator. Put a redstone block inside the generator to power it, and you can choose the exact redstone signal strength it gives off from 0 to 15.
Lumora is the rarest ore in the End. Unlike most ores, you can't just find it by mining through End Stone. Lumora only generates inside Enderoids, which can be found scattered around the End. Because of how uncommon it is, finding an Enderoid can be pretty rewarding.
Lumora can be used to craft Void Boots, which can protect you from the danger of falling into the void. It can also be used to make a Lumora Axe, which still works as a weapon but can also be used to climb walls. Lumora can even be combined with purpur pillars to make Decorated Purpur Pillars. These aren't only decorative either. Hostile mobs are afraid of them and will try to keep their distance.
