TRAILBOUND KARTS
Build your ride. Find your trail. Take to the skies.
CRAFT • UPGRADE • EXPLORE
Turn your next supply run into an adventure. Trailbound Karts brings craftable, upgradable vehicles to Minecraft—with your own character visibly seated behind the wheel, animated suspension and wheels, headlights, cargo storage and refillable boost.
Start on the ground, venture across water and lava, then unlock powered flight. One kart. Three tiers. A visibly different ride at every stage.
Alpha 14 · Minecraft 26.3 · Fabric · Java 25
Apple Silicon macOS is tested. Windows and Linux x86-64 builds are included as experimental and still need testing on those operating systems.
THREE TIERS OF ADVENTURE
01 / TRAIL — Your first set of wheels

Build your starter kart with Overworld materials and head out to explore. Enjoy gradual acceleration, responsive steering, working headlights and boost when you need an extra push. Tackle one-block rises with the right approach and carry supplies in your onboard inventory.
This is the land tier. Water and lava surface travel require the Amphibious upgrade.
02 / AMPHIBIOUS — Go beyond the road

Invest in gold and Nether materials to unlock a reinforced chassis, larger off-road tires and improved ground clearance. Your kart gains visible supports and wheel pods that fold for water and lava travel, with distinct surface effects. Rough trails become easier to navigate, and boost becomes more efficient.
03 / FLIGHT — Open up the sky

Add diamonds and advanced components to take the same kart airborne. Lift off, hover, climb and descend smoothly, with faster air travel and directional boost. Folded wheels gain cyan flight effects, and your kart keeps its land and amphibious capabilities.
Keep your kart, cargo and fuel as you upgrade. Install reusable modules through the garage while parked on clear, dry ground.
BUILT FOR THE JOURNEY

- 24 custom items and 24 recipes — craft components and assemble your ride at the Kart Workbench.
- A proper onboard garage — nine cargo slots, four fuel bays and two upgrade slots.
- See your character drive — a visible seated rider, cockpit view and third-person driving.
- A ride with moving parts — animated wheels, reinforced tier hardware, flight effects and switchable headlights.
- Movement with personality — gradual acceleration, boost, jumps, directional flips and powersliding.
- Engine and movement audio — a recorded engine with RPM-based blending, plus boost, flight and surface effects.
- Make it yours — private, team or public access settings.
- Pack up and move on — recover your unoccupied, parked kart with the Service Wrench while preserving its contents and upgrades.
FUEL THE FUN
Refill with gunpowder or craft Boost Cartridges. Normal driving, headlights and amphibious floating do not consume fuel. Boost and powered flight do.
- Gunpowder: adds 20 fuel.
- Boost Cartridge: adds 100 fuel to the 100-point reservoir.
- Full-tank ground boost: approximately 6 seconds in Trail, 8 seconds in Amphibious and 10 seconds in Flight tier.
Higher-tier upgrades improve boost efficiency. Powered flight consumes additional fuel, so flying and boosting together empty the tank faster. Cargo slots never feed the engine.
GET BEHIND THE WHEEL
Right-click to ride. Use W / A / S / D to drive and steer, left mouse to boost, and Space to jump.
H — headlights • I — garage • V — cockpit view
F — toggle flight • Space — ascend • Left Shift — descend • R — land / exit
In midair, pressing F cuts flight power. Press it again to restart after a short delay. For a controlled descent, hold Left Shift.
To pack your kart, stop, leave the seat, then sneak and hold right-click with the Service Wrench for one second. Keep aiming at the kart and leave a free inventory slot. Packing respects ownership and also works on an empty kart settled underwater.
REQUIREMENTS & ALPHA STATUS
Minecraft 26.3 • Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ • Fabric API 0.162.0+26.3 • Java 25
Install Trailbound Karts and Fabric API on both the client and server. No other game or resource pack is required.
- Tested: Apple Silicon macOS.
- Experimental: Windows x86-64 and Linux x86-64 with glibc 2.28+. Native libraries are included but have not yet been tested on those operating systems.
- Not supported by this package: Intel Macs, ARM64 Windows/Linux and musl-based Linux distributions.
This is an alpha release. Back up your worlds and try a separate test world first. Sharp diagonal ledges may need a different approach. Full Survival pacing, two-player network testing, independent dedicated-server restart/crash recovery and broader performance testing remain in progress.
