Use "/trakcompasscommand to <player>" while holding a compass to set the target.
Right-click to track/see the target's current position. 5s cooldown before reusing. The location return via chat/compass pointing each time you use it.
Use "/trakcompasscommand remove" while holding the compass to remove the current target (if there is one).
It works periodic to prevent spam and flicking of the item in hand, and it's not constant nor does it occur in real time, but only when interacting with the compass.
There is a special dinamyc for tracking the target while they are in different dimensions (Mod Friendly).]
