ToxicRain is a small mod that makes rain poison players. It can also be configured to do so for snow, as well as water blocks. It provides a potion that protects from the rain (but not other forms of poison), which can be made by combining a potion of poison with sugar in the brewing stand.
Rain and snow are colored brown-greenish when they are toxic. The color is configurable and the system can be disabled entirely.
Players can be given a delay/grace periods, during which they will not be poisoned by rain. A delay can be applied through the /toxicrain command, the CraftTweaker integration, or a variety of config options. By default, players receive a 30-second grace period upon their first spawn and a 10-second grace period upon respawn.
The mod was inspired by spacechase0's old Toxic Rain mod, which is no longer available.

I think it'd be cool if there was an umbrella that could be used to easily shield yourself from the rain, as long as you were holding it.
Hmm, this looks very interesting! Any chance that it's got Weather2 integration, or that that might be something to look forward to? This looks like a pretty neat mod, so I'd love to get to play around with the two of them together.

Not at the moment, though I might consider it in the future (but likely not anytime soon, as I'm rather busy at the moment).
Is it possible to have toxic rain in only certain biomes/dimensions? Or is it an all or nothing deal?

There has been a dimension blacklist/whitelist since time immemorial, and a biome blacklist/whitelist was added in version 2.2.0, which was released a few minutes ago. Thanks for the idea.

I already tried that but the mod rejects any biome changes. How the format of the biomes list should look like pls?

1. does this work with craft tweaker and if so what are the variables

1. You can use CraftTweaker to make a player immune for a given number of ticks, e.g. "player.toxicRain.delay = 200", where "player" is an IPlayer instance.
2. With the default config options, the only effective protection is to avoid moving in the open. The config has options to enable an antidote potion, to restrict the toxicity of the rain based on time and the fullness of the moon, and to provide a grace period for newly spawned, respawned or awaken players.
Will this mod work with weather2 mod. ?

my guess would be no since weather2 controls weather, but dont take my word for it let the mod author reply or install and try for yourself
CoolSquid, I was wondering if there was a chance you could add in a feature. Make it to where if a player is wearing a bucket on their head that it negates or cuts the poison in half and have the bucket cover the screen like the pumpkin does.
Does this make it so sometimes it rains normal rain or is all rain poison? I'd like it if it was variable!
