Touhou Little Maid Shogi

Touhou Little Maid Shogi is an add-on for Touhou Little Maid that adds a Japanese shogi board where players can challenge their maids to a complete game of shogi or solve tsume shogi puzzles.

Tsume Shogi

Tsume shogi is a mating puzzle in which every player move must give check. Apply a puzzle item to a shogi board, then find the forced checkmate while the maid chooses defensive moves.

Puzzle items can be found in village cartographer houses and stronghold library chests. Each puzzle can reward maid favorability once per player, while masterpiece puzzles provide greater rewards.

Platform Support

Shogi matches are available on any client platform capable of running Minecraft 1.21.1 with Java 21.

AI search runs locally on the player’s client in a background worker. Dedicated servers only maintain game state and do not perform engine searches, keeping the additional server workload low.

The evaluation and opening-book resources remain inside the mod JAR and are loaded directly into memory. No engine resources are extracted to the game’s config directory.
