Description

Introduction

This mod is meant to be a solution to Minecraft's weird jump in progression between Iron and Diamond. Now it takes more time to get from Iron to Diamond, because I have added several alloys to the game.

I used AI for the metalurgy, because I have found doing research about this topic difficult. I wanted to stay realistic but focusing more on how useful will the gear will be.

I have made a software to generate the textures (Custom Provider for devs). No AI was used to make the textures! I like them, but maybe someone will think that they are bad. That is why I wanted to clarify.

There a general upgrades, while there are a couple of sidegrades. For example Silver, which grants you the power to deal with all undead foes much easier than ever before. It's not an alloy. It can be mined.

When should you use this mod?

This mod is perfect for a Vanilla experience, but you can use it in a modpack if you don't have other gear that focuses on the same aspect as this mod.

This mod for now doesn't really use tags in it's recipes for now. It is a great mistake of mine. I did not think about what other mods the player will use it with and because of this for now no recipes support materials from other mods.

But because it was really easy to implement, you can use the materials from this mod in other mods, only if they use the common tags though. Not like me ;( .

How to use this mod?

To play, you need to craft a Stone Hammer. (This is written down in the advancements, so you don't even need to read this, but you may.)
After you crafted the Stone Hammer, you can crush down Tin and Copper to craft Bronze.

I reccommend you to use JEI to look up the recipes, but in the Knowledge Book when you open a Crafting Table you were supposed to see the recipes.

The only alloys you will be able to craft via Crafting Table is the Bronze. After this you will need to get the Alloying Smelter. For this you need to get Iron too! To get Iron, you must first craft Bronze Pickaxe to mine the ore. (I couldn't get Jade to show the pickaxes, I'm sorry. I tried :( ).

After you crafted the Alloying Smelter, you will be able to make the next alloy, Invar!
Invar shares the same speed as the Stone tools, but has more durability! Great for terraforming early game and for mining too! (It is on the same tier as Iron)

After this you will need to craft the Crusher, which makes the manual labour of crushing down materials into an automatic process. You can also crush down Cobblestone to Gravel, Gravel to Dirt and Dirt to Sand. You can also crush down Sand to Sand Flux, which will come in handy later.

To use the Crusher, make a crushing wheel, then right click on the Crusher. After this drop a block above the Crusher. If there's a crushing recipe, then it will work automatically.
(You can see the progress if you use Jade)

Ok, so here comes the part which is very weird if you know metalurgy, but stay with me.
Galvanized Iron will need Fluxes. There are three types of fluxes. Sand, Bone and Calcite. The better the quality, the less flux item you need to use for the alloying.

Wootz Steel, which is a very early stage Steel from India requires Coke. Coke can be made from Coal Dust. You will need the Crusher to crush down Coal.

After this the final material added by this mod, Steel is made of Wootz Steel. It sounds strange, but I got into a bit of trouble with the metalurgy logic and it came out like this.

And this is the Tool Progression Overhaul mod guide.

The future of this mod

I planned to make two gears and armor sets. One is 100% an underwater gear from Prismarine, which would allow you to swim faster and mine the same speed underwater us out of the water.
The seccond one will be an armor set that would increase your reach. To build more far I guess.
Third one would be a Piglin based gear. This gear would make you not provoke Piglins, would have great durability and also make you fight more tougher against Piglins. I hate Piglin Brutes. This would be the solution.

I would like to put this mod aside for a while. I don't know how long. I only know one thing, which is that right now I want a break from making mods. I have been working on this around 2 months or more. I hope you will enjoy it! Have fun!
