Description
TitleHook
TitleHook is a lightweight server-side progression mod for Minecraft Forge that gives admins control over how long players can play each day, while giving players something fun to work toward: daily quests, loot boxes, and custom titles that show up right under their nametag for everyone to see.
Playtime Management
Keep your server healthy with admin-configurable daily play time limits.
- Set a server-wide default daily limit, or override it per player
- Players are notified and disconnected once they hit their limit
- Automatically resets every day at midnight (server time)
- Full admin toolkit: check a player's session/all-time/today playtime, adjust or clear limits, or force an early reset
Daily Quests
Every day, each player gets 3 random quests to complete, pulled from a weighted pool covering 9 different quest types:
- Obtain an item
- Kill a specific mob
- Break a block
- Place a block
- Breed an animal
- Smelt an item
- Dig down to a certain depth
- Travel a set distance
- Sleep through a number of nights
Quests reset automatically at midnight, with a live countdown shown in the quest menu. Completed quests reward a loot box — either a title box or a color box.
Loot Boxes, Titles & Colors
Open a loot box to unlock a random title or random color you don't already have. Once unlocked, equip your favorite combination from an in-game menu with a live preview.
- Titles display as a second, colored line below your nametag — visible to every player on the server, not just yourself
- Mix and match any unlocked title with any unlocked color
- Comes with 50+ built-in titles out of the box, fully customizable
Leaderboards, Stats & Quest Log
Give players a reason to keep coming back:
- Leaderboards for top playtime, most titles unlocked, and most quests completed
- A personal stats screen showing your all-time playtime, titles/colors unlocked, and total quests completed
- A quest log keeping a history of your last 30 completed quests and what you earned from each
Admin Tools
- In-game title pool editor — add or remove titles on the fly, no restart required
- JSON-configurable quest pool — control which quests exist, their difficulty range, and how often they appear
- Grant titles directly to players, reroll their daily quests, and manage playtime limits, all through simple commands
Clean, Self-Contained UI
Every screen is built entirely from vanilla Minecraft's own materials — dirt-block panels, pixel-styled buttons, and real item icons — so there's no texture pack or resource pack needed and no conflicts with other UI mods.
Built for Real Servers
- Server-authoritative logic throughout — nothing here can be exploited from the client
- Safe against automation/farming exploits from other mods
- Minimal performance footprint, designed to run smoothly with many players online
