Description
Timescaled Sleep (Longer days & fast sped up nights when sleeping)
By Luved · Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge

Make time work for your world
Give yourself longer building days, shorter nights, or your own balance of both. Timescaled Sleep lets you configure daytime and night time separately, then accelerates the actual world simulation while enough players sleep.
The sky keeps moving toward dawn, and ticking machines, furnaces, entities and redstone keep progressing. Celestial speed and simulation speed have independent settings, so you can tune the pace and the performance cost separately.
Features
- Independent day and night durations, measured in real-world minutes at the target server tick rate.
- Continuous accelerated sleep instead of an instant jump to morning.
- Separate multipliers for the sky and the server simulation.
- Multiplayer sleep requirements follow the vanilla
playersSleepingPercentagegamerule. - The previous server tick rate is restored when sleep ends or is interrupted, unless another system changed it.
- Configurable through the in-game configuration menu or
config/timescaled-sleep.toml.
Defaults
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Daytime: ticks 0–12000 | 50 minutes |
| Nighttime: ticks 12000–24000 | 10 minutes |
| Celestial sleep speed | 25× |
| Simulation sleep speed | 5× |
Acceleration begins after the normal deep-sleep delay, approximately five seconds. These time halves do not exactly match visible sunrise, sunset, or when beds become usable. Server lag can make the configured durations longer.
Installation and compatibility
Requires Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21 and NeoForge 21.1.248 or newer in the 21.1 series. Install the same mod version on clients and the server. No additional library mod is required.
Remove any other time control mods (that mess with timescale, or night acceleration) before installing. Timescaled Sleep is an all in one and replaces these responsibilities. Other mods that control the clock or sleep skipping may conflict.
On every world startup, Timescaled Sleep automatically enables `doDaylightCycle` if it was disabled. This is intentional and helps repair frozen clocks left by other time-control setups.
