Meditate
Ever wished you could just sit down and let the night pass – without a bed, without commands, without setting your spawn? Meditate brings Witcher-style meditation to Minecraft.
Press N, your character drops into a knight's kneel, and a clock wheel appears. Choose the hour you want to wait for, hit Meditate, and watch the sun and moon race across the sky.
Features
🕰️ Clock wheel
- 24-hour dial with noon at the top and midnight at the bottom, sun and crescent moon included
- Pick the time by clicking, dragging, scrolling or with the arrow keys
- A glowing arc shows how much time will pass
- Time passes visibly – no black screen, the sky actually moves
- One button switches between two modes:
- Meditate – the classic hour clock, a day passes in ~10 seconds
- Warp – a day wheel (1–30 days) plus an endless button; the world is really ticked faster, so every machine, farm and mod keeps working
- Shows the estimated remaining real time while time passes; in Warp a sun (day) or crescent moon (night) travels around the wheel
🧎 Knight's kneel
- Smooth kneel-down and stand-up animation with a real knee joint
- One leg forward, the other knee on the ground, one hand resting on the knee
- Your armor kneels with you
- Holding a sword? You plant it in the ground in front of you and rest your other hand on the pommel
- Other players see you kneel too
🎥 Cinematic camera
- The camera searches for the best free spot around you and slowly circles you in open areas
- In a narrow shaft it looks down at you from above
- Fully enclosed? You get a portrait of your kneeling character next to the clock instead
❤️ Rest & safety
- Regenerates health while time passes (1 heart per hour by default)
- No monsters spawn near a meditating player
- You can't meditate with monsters nearby or right after a fight
- Taking damage or monsters coming close pulls you out of your meditation
- Meditating for at least an hour counts as rest – no phantoms
🌱 The world keeps living
- Crops, saplings, sugar cane, cactus, bamboo, kelp, amethyst and more grow as if the time had really passed
- Ice and snow melt, copper oxidizes
- Baby animals grow up, breeding cooldowns run out
- Vanilla furnaces, blast furnaces, smokers and brewing stands finish their work
- Works within the simulation distance of every player and is spread over several ticks to keep the server smooth
👥 Multiplayer
- Time only passes when every player in the dimension is meditating or sleeping
- The wheel shows how many players are ready ("Waiting for other players 1/3")
- Fully server-side controlled, works on dedicated servers
