I have perhaps a dumb question: what counts as a tile entity? I'm assuming things like machines count, but what about Doors and Item Frames? Items from Decocraft etc? Is there a way to whitelist certain tile entities so that they don't count against the chunk limit?
I also would like to second theshadowake's suggestion that an error message appear when the limit is approached or reached, if that's possible.

Should be mostly all machines, cables, furnaces, chests, everything that has a inventory tbh, etc.

Ah, that helps, thank you! Do you have any plans to add additional config options? The limit error message, mod/item whitelist, or perhaps an option to limit only certain dimensions (so that Compact Machines wouldn't be affected) would be super helpful. I do understand if this is feature-complete, however. Just curious. :)

The same as normal really a island is still blocks within a chunk or multiple chunks.
Unfortunately there is no support for per island or anything
