What's new

TickWeave 0.3.0-beta — NeoForge

For Minecraft Java 26.3, NeoForge 26.3.0.76 and Java 25. Install only this loader variant. Client and server; no additional required mods and no TickWeave installation required on the remote peer.

  • Port bounded entity-section queries to this loader, including clients, integrated servers and dedicated servers.
  • Reuse immutable vanilla hopper suction geometry when shape and position match; entities, inventories and query results are never cached.
  • Add startup configuration in config/tickweave.properties, independent optimization switches, safe fallbacks and migration of old section settings. Restart after changes.
  • Skip optimization Mixins if Lithium, Canary or Radium is detected, or configuration is invalid. Real Lithium 0.26.2 coexistence was checked. Fabric API is not required.
  • Preserve tick frequency, hopper cooldowns, redstone, AI, world formats and network protocol. The empty multipart iterator optimization is Forge-only.

Validation

This build passed 18 JUnit tests, actual client/integrated-server startup and 38 functional assertions followed by 11 assertions after saving and reopening in a new process. Dedicated-server tests passed 7 functional and 3 reload assertions; actual Lithium coexistence and hopper transfer were checked. The automated suite was run through Gradle.

Measurements and limitations

The separate Forge build was compared with 0.2.0-beta in 18 controlled server runs. In the 4,096-hopper workload, median server-thread allocation fell 20.90%; with 256 additional inactive markers it fell 18.22%. Mean active tick time fell 0.16% and 5.37%, while both versions maintained about 20 TPS. GC pause sums were higher, heap results mixed and idle allocation slightly higher. These are medians of three runs per variant/workload on one machine. These Forge measurements are not performance evidence for this loader.

Three client performance attempts were rejected after control-path or minimized-window/render-surface errors. No partial client series is used as performance evidence. No general FPS, frame-time, physical input latency, chunk-rendering, TPS, memory, GC or network-ping improvement is claimed.

This loader's separate vanilla-peer network matrix is untested. Authenticated Internet play, a second physical LAN machine, other operating systems, every launcher, other loader versions, long-running farms and arbitrary modpacks remain untested. Full source, German/English installation and changelogs, checksums and detailed test/benchmark evidence are included in the release package.
