Original mod created by theoxylo, licensed under MIT. This remaster continues and expands on that work under the terms of that license — full credit to theoxylo for creating the original.

Bringing back the nostalgic good ol' THX Helicopter mod, introducing it to modern Minecraft! You can now fly a fully-featured helicopter and explore the world of Minecraft with absolute pure fun. This remaster keeps the classic feel of the original THX Helicopter mod alive, while modernizing it and adding a ton of new features for current Minecraft.

(!)WARNING PLEASE READ(!) DO NOT DISMOUNT ABOVE LAVA: if you do not have 2 blocks wide YOU WILL FALL IN LAVA IF NOT 2 BLOCKS WIDE! your area has to be 2 blocks wide for this to work! BE CAREFUL!

Flight model is still being updated and tuned! Recently fixed a few feel issues: forward/back and left/right tilt now ramp up evenly (previously pitch snapped instantly while roll eased in), and ascending/descending now brakes quickly when you let go of the controls instead of gliding on momentum — while still ramping up smoothly while held.

Sound Now added! Fixed a crash affecting some dedicated/multiplayer server setups. Say tuned for frequent updates, I am currently actively grinding away bugs and adding new features!

🏷️ Ownership Tags

• Each helicopter now displays its owner's name — helpful for telling whose is whose on multiplayer servers
  * The tag stays hidden by default and only appears when you're looking directly at the helicopter (just like a named mob), so it won't clutter your screen
  
  
• Fixed-1.1.9.7: the owner name tag would still show while flying in third person, even when nobody else was looking at the helicopter. It now stays hidden for the pilot in third person — other players will only see it when they look directly at the helicopter, same as intended.

🔒 Anti-Theft, Expanded
Ownership protection now covers the entire helicopter experience, not just breaking it:

• Other players can no longer enter a helicopter that isn't theirs
• Other players can no longer access the onboard storage of a helicopter that isn't theirs
• (Axe-breaking protection was already in place and remains)

✈️ Flight

• Smooth, responsive flight with camera-look-based steering — wherever you look is where the helicopter turns
• Adjustable altitude hold, pitch lock, and free-look toggles
• Floats safely on both water and lava — no burning, no damage, ever, while you're aboard

🚁 Rotor Damage System

• Realistic damage from clipping the rotor blades into blocks — spin them into terrain and take real damage over time
• Escalating visual warnings as damage climbs: smoke, then heavier smoke, then fire in the cockpit
• Automatic self-repair after a period undamaged
• Push it past 100% damage and it goes out in a real explosion — so fly carefully

🚀 Armed and Dangerous

• Rockets (left-click) — rapid-fire, direct-impact damage, alternating fire points
• Missiles (right-click) — devastating explosive payload on a cooldown, powerful enough to level terrain
• Smart protection rules: your own helicopter is immune to its own weapons, and anyone riding any helicopter is shielded from missile blasts — but stray outside a cockpit and you're fully exposed
• Gimbled rocket and missile — shoots were player looks!

📦 Storage

• A full 54-slot onboard inventory (same size as a double chest) — shift-right-click to access it mid-adventure

🛠️ Crafting

• Craftable with a simple boat-style recipe using any wood type
