Description

Weapons of War

Weapons of War is a mod that dramatically expands Minecraft's melee and ranged combat. Moving beyond simple stat upgrades, this mod introduces a fully realized arsenal of 26 unique weapons, each defined by a deep, data-driven Trait System.

The Arsenal

From classic blades like the Rapier and Katana, to heavy two-handed polearms like the Halberd and Scythe, and even specialized throwing weapons like the Tomahawk and Boomerang. Every weapon has a distinct identity, driven by the traits it carries.

The Trait System

Here is the full list of traits you can find in the mod:

  • Base Stats: Every weapon is assigned a tier for Damage (Mundane, Light, Moderate, Standard, Heavy, Brutal, Devastating, Cataclysmic), Attack Speed (Sluggish, Slow, Standard, Fast, Quick, Rapid), and Reach (Unreach, Standard, Reach I, II, III, IV).
  • Handedness: Every weapon is strictly One-Handed or Two-Handed. Wielding a Two-Handed weapon with an occupied offhand applies a damage penalty unless you have the Strength effect.
  • Attack Patterns: Sweeping I & II (cleave nearby enemies), Piercing I & II (ignore armor), Thrust (pierce in a straight line), and Hook I & II (pull enemies toward you).
  • Kinetic & Ranged Mechanics: Throwable (charge and hurl your weapon with custom 3D rendering), Returning (built-in Loyalty), Charge (build kinetic momentum for sprinting attacks), and Dash I & II (right-click to lunge forward).
  • Damage Modifiers: Precision I & II (bonus vs. unarmored), Executioner (bonus vs. low-health), Underdog (bonus vs. high-health), Berserker (bonus as your health drops), Stalwart (bonus at full health), First Strike (double damage on the opening hit), Backstab (bonus from behind), and Gravity (falling smash attack).
  • Defense & Utility: Bulwark I & II (damage reduction while held), Immovable (immune to knockback), Deflect (parry projectiles), Shield Breaker (disable enemy shields), Disarm (applies Weakness II), Discombobulate (applies Slowness II), Lifesteal (heal on hit), Forceful I & II (extra knockback), and Hewing / Quarrying / Excavating / Harvesting (act as an Axe, Pickaxe, Shovel, or Hoe).

Seamless Integration:

  • Dungeon Loot: Weapons naturally generate in chests across the world.
  • Progression: A fully custom advancement tree guides you through mastering the different weapon categories.
  • Vanilla Parity: Dynamic tooltips on vanilla weapons that explain their stats using the mod's trait system.
  • Mob Equipment: Naturally spawned zombies have a chance to wield these new weapons against you.
