The Ventriloquist

Adds a multi-difficulty enemy that can jump, dig, and build.

Adds an entity that stalks the player and increases in difficulty as the game goes along.

 

The main entity is technically two separate entities.

One of wich controls the movement and targeting of the other. This entity is represented by the puppeteering device above the other. This entity is what is known as "The Ventriloquist".

The red entity below it is the "Banshee". The Banshee is in charge of attacking and digging.

 

Difficulties ---

The first and default difficulty causes the entity to hesitantly follow the player, pausing periodically and backing away from the player.

The second difficulty makes the entity no longer hesitant, and can now jump at the player.

The third difficulty causes the entity to build upwards when the player is higher than it instead of jumping. It can also dig towards the player periodically. Both of which only occur if mob greifing is enabled.

Difficulties can be changed using /gamerule bansheeDifficulty 1-3 but will change automatically when reaching advancements.
