About
The Varkin System is an add-on mod for Ad Astra, adding a new solar system with unique content. The mod is in very early stages at the moment, currently adding supplementary worldgen features while the main ones are in development. The final version will include 4-6 unique planetary bodies.
- Icarus, a volcano world
- Talos, a dust desert world
- Perdix, the moon of Talos, full of debris after a decades of being a dumping ground for an advanced civilization
- Iapyx, a lush world full of strange plants and fungi
- Dalus, a gas giant with no land
- Ariad, an oceanic ice world
This mod was created for my modpack, Desolate Planet. In this modpack, the player spawns on a planet in the Varkin system and must work to escape it. If you are using this mod in other modpacks, the planets will only be accessible with a tier IV rocket by default and have a much simpler progression system.
Completed Features
- Lava-loggable crystals for ore collection
- Configured features to generate clusters of these crystals
- Detailed integration recipes for the Thermal Series and Tinker's Construct
- Some simple integration recipes with Create, Mekanism, and EnderIO
- A custom surface rule for generating striations of volcanic rock
Most current features do not function on their own unless implemented via datapacks or via KubeJS. This list will be updated in more detail as more features are implemented.
