The Taber is a sarcastic, unpredictable entity that follows you around, comments on your actions, and occasionally interferes with your survival. He’s not hostile by default — but he’s not exactly friendly either.

He likes rooftops. Don’t ask why.

How to find The Taber
The Taber does not spawn naturally. To meet him, you must complete a small quest:

Survive your first night
Wake up the next morning
Follow the strange clues and notes you’ll find
Collect the required items
Craft the Summoning Egg
Spawn your new… neighbor

You won’t meet him automatically — you summon him yourself.

Note: The mod contains occasional night scares (creepy sounds + a brief darkness effect). They are not loud or extreme, but they may surprise you.

This mod has two versions: EN and RU. Check the Files tab to choose the one you prefer.
Requires Forge 47.3.10 or newer. Older Forge versions will not load the mod.

How to craft the Summoning Egg

Taber makes first contact after the first night. On the second night, you’ll find a note with a hint and some of the resources needed for the recipe.

Your task is to gather the remaining items on your own.

Once everything is ready, Taber will reach out to you again (and don’t worry about the missing wool — that part is intentional). After one or two days, he’ll add the final item, and you can proceed with the crafting.

Sometimes Taber may contact you with a slight delay — that’s normal. Enjoy the game!
