The Sift Dimension

An unofficial fan recreation of the Sift from Minecraft Dungeons II – as a real dimension for Minecraft Java.

Deep below every Ancient City sleeps the great frame of Reinforced Deepslate. Wake it with the Singer's song, step through, and you arrive in the Sift: a vibrant, alien land of souls, ichor and floating islands.

Getting in Approach the frame of an Ancient City – eight Resonant Deepslate plinths rise around it. Place note blocks on the plinths and play them in the Singer's order 1-3-7-6-5-2-4-8. Every correct note lights part of the frame; a wrong one resets the song and brings Darkness. Shortcut: Flint and Steel opens the frame at once – also a self-built Reinforced Deepslate frame (at least 5×5). On your first trip a twin gate is built in the Sift, so you can always get back. The Sift Six biomes: Singer's Meadow, Lullaby Hills, Veilwillow Grove, Carapace, Ichor Fen, Echo Den. Turquoise sky, mesa spires, natural arches, carapace ribs, crystal spires, canyons with ichor rivers, ruins, resonance shrines, broken gates and soul harvester camps. Floating islands – climb the spiral staircases of floating boulders, or ride a Soul Vent up. Sift Tides, just like in Dungeons II: Flow – calm. Thrive – souls everywhere, Haste, Soulblooms bloom, Soul Vents lift you up, rifts appear. Endure – thick fog, Sifter packs hunt you, Sifters grow stronger and natural healing stops. Creatures Blub (stacks into wobbly towers!), Trill, Singer, Sifter, Sprout (kill one and its Sifters become enraged), Pollinator (lobs bursting pollen globs), Nuzzle (shearable), Slabber (naps under its shell), Wobble (changes colour and hides in tall grass) and drifting Soul Wisps you can catch in a bottle.

Liquids Ichor – thick, slow and draining for visitors. Tidestrider Boots protect you. Iridescent Ichor – shimmering rainbow pools that burn visitors with soulsick. Fire Resistance protects you. Also included Veilwillow wood set, Sift stone families, new plants, Bottled Souls, the Singer's Echo, the music disc "Lullaby of the Sift", original ambience and music, advancements and loot.

Requirements Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader ≥ 0.19.5, Fabric API, Java 25. Singleplayer and multiplayer – on a server, install it on the server and every client. Alpha This is the first public alpha – the Sift is still early in development. Expect bugs and balance changes – back up your worlds before trying it.
