The Shy Guy adds a terrifying new creature. Its history comes from the SCP universe, where it is referred to as SCP-096, also known as The Shy Guy.

SCP-096 is often found sitting and crying, with its face covered. However, if you look at him, you will trigger his rage. Once enraged, you only have a brief moment to flee, but it’s no use, SCP-096 will relentlessly chase you, no matter where you go (unless he despawns). He is fast, able to climb blocks 10 blocks tall and can even destroy blocks in his path. SCP-096 is unstoppable, with regeneration making him near impossible to defeat.

► [OLD] What is my console spaming?

Most mobs use special spawning conditions, which means that these mobs can only appear under certain conditions. If the spawning conditions work, this spam is created in the console.

► [OLD] Why can't I summon a mob?

Spawning Conditions determine which conditions must be met in order to spawn certain mobs. Some mobs only spawn above Y level 60. Some below. Most mobs can only spawn in the overworld than in other dimensions.

► Where does SCP-096 spawn?

SCP-096 can spawn anywhere in the overworld like a normal monster. However, there can only be one instance of SCP-096.

► How to the Rage effect work?

If you look at SCP-096 or a Disturbing Photo, you get the Shy Guys Rage Effect. This triggers SCP-096 and it attacks every player with this effect.

► Why does looking at SCP-096 doesn't work or capturing it with a bag?

If you look at SCP-096, you get the Shy Guys Rage effect which triggers SCP-096. However, if you stand too far away (approx. 100 blocks) the raycasting no longer works. The system behind raycasting is complicated and can sometimes lead to errors.

The same applies to catching SCP-096 with a bag, so raycasting is still active. However, if you hold the bag in your main hand and sneak towards SCP-096 WITHOUT looking at it directly, then it should work.

SCP-096, Shy Guy

SCP-096 spawns in your world with a haunting sound, sitting on the ground and crying. As long as you don’t look at it, SCP-096 remains passive, but if you make eye contact, you’ll instantly gain the "Shy Guy's Rage" effect. This triggers SCP-096’s aggression:.It stands up, lets out a scream, and begins relentlessly chasing the player.
SCP-096 is nearly impossible to kill due to its extreme regeneration, immunity to many damage types, and a massive health pool of 1000. It deals devastating damage and runs so fast that clouds form beneath its feet. It can climb walls and destroys blocks in its path as it hunts its target. However, SCP-096 can also despawn over time.

Bag and Disturbing Photo

To capture SCP-096, players can craft a Bag. Sneaking up to SCP-096 while holding the bag, and right-clicking without looking directly at it, traps the entity with the bag placed over its head. In this state, SCP-096 can be transported with a lead, but be careful. The captured instance can still enter a rage state if you gain the Shy Guy's Rage effect, hit SCP-096, or remove the bag.

Additionally, mobs have a chance to drop a Disturbing Photo upon death. Right-clicking the photo reveals an image of SCP-096, instantly giving you the Shy Guy's Rage effect and marking you as its next target.
