About The Mod
The Retch is an adaptive psychological horror mod that transforms your Minecraft world into a visceral vessel for confronting deep-seated guilt. Instead of standard health bars and magic systems, this experience focuses on physical, high-impact survival and psychological attrition.

It introduces the Embodiment of Hatred, a relentless entity that tracks you across dimensions, stalks you from the shadows, and dynamically adapts to your attempts to escape. This is not a standard boss fight; it is a battle of endurance. The Retch does not play by the normal rules of Minecraft, and it will ensure you cannot either.

Main Features
Unrelenting AI: The Embodiment of Hatred features a dynamic hitbox, allowing it to crawl through small gaps, scale walls and ceilings, and track your movements even if you flee to the Nether or The End. It cannot be brute-forced or easily escaped.

Strict Anti-Cheese Mechanics: The world actively punishes cowardly survival tactics.

Psychological Warfare: Experience auditory hallucinations and environmental paranoia as the entity closes in.

Deep Lore and Relics: Craft and utilize custom survival tools like the Corrupted Compass and Trauma Charm. Collect scattered, morbid Journal Entries to piece together the tragic history of Marg Jones.

Fabric Loader (0.14.22 or higher)
Fabric API
GeckoLib for Fabric 1.20.1
Cloth Config API for Fabric 1.20.1

Installation Instructions
Ensure you have the Fabric Loader installed for Minecraft 1.20.1.
Download the Fabric API, GeckoLib, and Cloth Config API.
Place all three dependency .jar files into your Minecraft mods folder.
Download The Retch and place it into your mods folder.
Launch the game using the Fabric profile.

All code, 3D models, animations, and textures contained within this project are entirely original assets created by the author, or are used under explicit fair use and open-source licensing. This mod does not utilize proprietary assets from Mojang or other mod authors without permission.
