What is The Presence?

The Presence is a psychological horror experience focused on fear of the unknown rather than traditional horror mechanics.

There are no bosses. No scripted jumpscares. No obvious enemies.

Instead, the world itself begins to change.

Subtly.

Quietly.

Watching.

The mod introduces an invisible system that observes player behavior and slowly alters reality around them.

The longer you play, the more the world reacts.

You may notice:

Nothing directly attacks you.

Yet something is always present.

The Presence avoids common horror clichés.

The experience emerges naturally through gameplay.

Players often cannot agree whether events were real or imagined.

Fully compatible with multiplayer servers.

The system tracks each player individually while also creating shared psychological events.

Playing alone increases tension. Playing together does not guarantee safety.

Sometimes everyone hears the same thing.

This mod is designed to create feelings of:

Only that something might.

This is an atmospheric mod.

Effects are intentionally rare and subtle. Long play sessions reveal more anomalies.

The Presence does not add traditional horror gameplay. Its goal is psychological immersion through uncertainty.
