Power SMP

This is the original mod featured in The Power SMP videos.
Power SMP expands vanilla Minecraft by introducing 39 unique Power Items, each based on one of Minecraft's potion effects. Instead of relying on potions, every effect exists as a collectible item that can be discovered throughout your world.

Collect Powerful Effects
Every Power Item grants the abilities of a vanilla potion effect, but in a completely new way. Some powers provide passive bonuses that are always active while equipped, while others include special activatable abilities that can be triggered with a customizable keybind while equipped.
Equip Up to Three Powers
Power SMP adds three dedicated Power Slots above your hotbar.
Equip up to three Power Items at the same time and combine their abilities to create powerful builds. Want to move quickly while dealing extra damage? Equip Speed and Strength. Prefer exploring? Combine Night Vision, Water Breathing, and Dolphin's Grace.
Experiment with different combinations to find the perfect loadout for combat, exploration, or survival.
Many powers aren't limited to passive effects.
Press the Power Ability key (by default each slot's activation key is B/H/K) to activate special abilities tied to certain Power Items. Some abilities provide bursts of movement, while others unlock unique ways to travel or fight.
Not every power has an active ability—many focus on providing strong passive buffs that are always useful.
Exploration
Power Items cannot be crafted.
Instead, they are exclusively found by exploring Minecraft's structures, making every adventure rewarding. Different effects appear in different locations, encouraging players to travel the world instead of farming one area.
Power Items can be found in structures such as:
- Villages
- Strongholds
- Ancient Cities
- Woodland Mansions
- Trial Chambers
- Pillager Outposts
- Desert Pyramids
- Jungle Temples
- Shipwrecks
- Buried Treasure
- Ocean Monuments
- Underwater Ruins
- Bastion Remnants
- Nether Fortresses
- Abandoned Mineshafts
- Dungeons
- End Cities
- Ruined Portals
- Igloos
Each structure has its own pool of possible powers, so discovering every item requires exploration across the Overworld, Nether, and End.
Tier System
Every Power Item can spawn in different tiers.
Higher-tier powers are rarer but provide stronger versions of the same ability, making exploration and finding upgrades an important part of progression.
Features
- 39 unique Power Items based on vanilla potion effects.
- Equip up to 3 powers at once.
- Passive and activatable abilities.
- Powers are found naturally in loot chests across Minecraft structures.
- Tiered Power Items with rarer, stronger versions.

Whether you're exploring with friends, battling on an SMP, or searching every structure for the perfect build, Power SMP adds meaningful progression while staying true to the vanilla Minecraft experience.
