The Poke Isles - Ranked

Competitive 6v6 Cobblemon battles with Elo ratings, seasonal rankings, enforced team rules, CobbleDollar rewards, and a ranked-only cinematic battle camera.

Poke Isles Ranked adds a structured competitive battling system built specifically for The Poke Isles.

Players can directly challenge one another to ranked Singles or Doubles battles, earn or lose rating through an Elo-based system, climb through the available ranks, and compete for a place on the seasonal leaderboard.

Ranked Battle Rules

Ranked battles automatically enforce the server’s competitive rules:

  • Full teams of six Pokémon are required
  • Supports both Singles and Doubles
  • All Pokémon are set to level 50 during battle
  • Duplicate Pokémon species are prohibited
  • Legendary, Mythical, and Ultra Beast Pokémon are prohibited
  • Selected legendary fusion Pokémon are also prohibited
  • Sleep Clause is enabled
  • Players must have at least one Pokémon capable of battling
  • Players in Creative or Spectator Mode cannot enter ranked battles

Rating and Progression

Every qualifying battle affects each player’s Elo rating.

The system tracks:

  • Current rating and rank
  • Seasonal wins and losses
  • Current win streak
  • Highest rating achieved
  • Highest rank achieved
  • Ranked match history
  • Seasonal leaderboard placement

Victory rewards are paid in CobbleDollars, with higher ranks receiving larger rewards.

To discourage rating farming, only a limited number of battles against the same opponent can affect rating each day. Battles must also last long enough to qualify, and extremely early forfeits do not change either player’s rating.

Seasons

Ranked competition is divided into seasons.

At the end of a season, the standings are archived, ratings can be reset, and the highest-ranked player is recognised as the season’s BattleLord.

The mod also supports scheduled soft resets to keep the leaderboard competitive without completely erasing player progress.

Disconnect Protection

Players are given a short grace period when disconnected during a ranked battle.

Reconnecting within that period allows the battle to continue. If the player does not return, the match can be resolved as a disconnect loss. Battles interrupted by a server shutdown or an unrecoverable stop are not rated.

Ranked BattleCam

Ranked battles include an integrated cinematic battle camera that activates only during supported ranked matches.

Default controls include:

  • F6: Cycle camera mode
  • F7: Previous camera shot
  • F8: Next camera shot
  • F9: Toggle your own trainer model

The camera follows attacks, switches, fainting Pokémon, and supported battle gimmicks while keeping ordinary Cobblemon battles unchanged.

  • /ranked challenge <player> <singles|doubles>

  • /ranked deny
