The Long Travail 0.1.2-fix

The diary and interface

After all six Malices become Witnesses, The Long Travail can be equipped and removed freely in the Travel Diary slot without Homecoming. Any return to Malice restores the restriction; creative players can remove it directly.

Added flavor lines to 24 items, with a wheat-gold gradient and a soft sweep every 8 seconds. They appear after the slot label, or after the item name when no label exists, before functional descriptions.

• Added two status lines directly below the hold-progress bar: muted cinnabar red before completing all six Witnesses and gray-blue afterward.
• Revised the diary's opening and farewell text and removed two redundant lines.

Trades and acquisition

Added fixed-price master villager trades, with one purchase per restock. Existing master villagers receive missing offers without resetting their uses.

• Mistletoe now costs 64 bone meal + 1 golden apple from master farmers. Existing offers update while preserving uses.
• Perfect Fluid's crafting recipe has been removed. Its default source is open-water fishing treasure: one item, with a 0.25% base chance per successful catch at zero luck (5% within the treasure pool).

The Little Prince has a hidden, one-time guarantee per player after 300 rose bush breaks or 600 poppy breaks, awarding one Little Prince.

• Replanted flowers count; creative and spectator players are excluded.
• Both thresholds share one guarantee. Random drops do not consume it and continue afterward.
• Progress survives reconnects and respawns; earlier breaks are not counted retroactively.

Perfect Fluid copying

Supports RS disks and supported addons, standard and portable AE2 item/fluid storage cells, and mixed nesting with Sophisticated Backpacks. Copies use independent inventories and retain supported quantities, charge, names, partitions, and upgrades.

Collect copies through the vanilla inventory crafting grid or crafting table. AE2 crafting terminals and automated crafting are not supported.

• The Long Travail and Perfect Fluid cannot be copied. Configured blacklists also filter nested contents in supported containers, removing restricted items only from copies.
• Bound AE2 spatial cells and creative cells configured for Perfect Fluid or protected inventory items are rejected without consuming ingredients.
• Updated tooltips, catalog entries, and configuration descriptions. An empty blacklist displays "None".
• Fixed shared disk inventories and quantity truncation in large inventories.
• Invalid ingredients or conditions prevent collecting stale previews.
• Failed copies attempt to restore ingredients, inventories, and external storage; one restoration failure does not stop the others.

Flight and movement

Fixed lost flight permission while carrying The Little Prince, unwanted reactivation after stopping in midair, and authorization issues after removal, reconnecting, dimension changes, or respawning. Reduced temporary synchronization-related failures.

• The Little Prince's effective step height is now consistently 1.2 blocks.
• Fixed residual slow flight after leaving high altitude when other flight-speed bonuses change, and brief errors when crossing Boundless Malice's height threshold within one tick. Restored verifiable legacy slowdown records.

Integrations and attributes

• Apotheosis: rarity-bearing diary and aspect item names and halos use the rarity color, preserving affixes and custom names.
• Quark: unenchanted copies of The Long Travail can accept runes using existing templates and ingredients. Colored runes show their glint; blank runes hide it. This applies only to The Long Travail and requires Quark's rune module.
• Phosphophyllite: neither Malice nor Witness boosts Ars Nouveau's potion-duration attribute, for players and maids.
• Overlord: increased the attribute cap to approximately 3.4028235 × 10³⁸, matching Insight. Values above 100% participate in damage immunity calculations.

Other fixes and runtime improvements

Reduced repeated queries and temporary objects in Golden Age, carrying checks, Sword and Lantern, and Perfect Fluid copying. Large copies can still cause brief stalls. Added disabled-by-default diagnostics for copy costs and the Everlasting Flower queue.

• Book of the Dead: fixed a potential crash when checking consumption state and journey records.
• Golden Age: fixed immersion timers and missing effects in third-party food data. Failed candidate queries retain gold blocks and can retry next tick.
• The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido: queued skill requests no longer affect replacement players after disconnects, reconnects, or respawns.
• Tower of Babel: corrupt target-memory records no longer block valid records.
• Everlasting Flower: unequipping cancels pending bonus damage; re-equipping does not restore the old queue.
• Myriad Souls Banner and Demon King of the Sixth Heaven: fixed repeated updates when attribute values are unchanged.
• Affection: bindings survive entity unloads and resume after reloads, retaining death records needed to clean up offline copies.

Upgrading

Update both clients and servers to 0.1.2-fix. Existing worlds and journeys require no manual migration.

• The admin command root changes from /the_long_travail to /tlt. Update command blocks and scripts; the old root is no longer registered.
• With Touhou Little Maid installed, initial Soul Spells and those containing a maid are added once to Perfect Fluid's blacklist; empty Soul Spells are excluded.
• With Touhou Little Maid: Personality installed, Monster Battle Device is added once.

Initialization is tracked separately for each integration and shared by worlds using the same configuration. Existing configurations also receive the defaults once. Entries remain editable and are not re-added after initialization, even after reinstalling an integration. To initialize again, set the corresponding flag to false and restart.
