The Imitator

Imitator is a spell caster illager boss who can randomly transform into other illagers (including the illagers from mods) during battles, perfectly replicating their appearance and skills.

The more mods with illagers you install, the richer the morph of the Imitator.

The available morphs of the Imitator are configurable. So it could transform into other mobs, even other bosses.

The morph lasts for 20 seconds, after which it briefly reveals its original form and then transforms again.

You can now gain Shapeseeker Explorer Map by trading with Cartographer Villager to find the new structure: Changes Hall.

The map can also be found in the loot chests of Woodland Mansions.

Changes Hall has various rooms. Different halls may have some different rooms. Here, you can obtain abundant loot resources.

You may also encounter different random types of illagers here (including the illagers from mods).

Reach the top to challenge the Imitator.

Woodland Mansion now also has 1/3 chance to spawn one Imitator.

When the Imitator is in its original form, defeating it drops the Imitation Core, Diguise Armor Trim Smithing Template, and a music disc. (If it dies while morphed, no loot is dropped.)

Placing the Imitation Core in a crafting grid with another item can duplicate the item - This will consume the durability of Imitation Core, the higher the rarity of the item, the more durability it consumes.

Using the Imitation Core on an Ominous Banner can summon the Imitator, to rechallenge the boss.

Using the Imitation Core on an Illager Statue can activate it into an Illager Golem.

Sneak and right-click the statue with empty hand to change its pose.

Use an empty hand on a golem to extract its core.

You can equip statues and golems with weapons (Swords / Axes / Bows / Crossbows).

The golem is loyal to you.

Disguise Armor Trim can change the appearance of the entire armor.
