Minecraft and gun mods are very popular but I was always bothered that they were only as useful as a slingshot with terrible aim....... most gun mods are inconsistent and guns behave in a way that really puts off the player from getting immersed and put it to good use against the hordes or zombies (modded) or the general hostile mobs that spawn at night.

The main thing that really frustrated me with mods like this was when you try to use a shotgun..... the video game spread is terrible so I fixed the spread and many more features while still keeping it simple that way this mod can be reproduced easily for any Minecraft version.

The reproduction time required is around 2 to 3 hours to do........... 5 to 8 hours if you got things to do or you get side tracked watching cool Youtube videos......... anyway if you focus then its a solid 1.5 hrs to make.

I will also be releasing the tutorial to recreate this mod from scratch step by step and provide the Mcreator Project so that Noobs like myself (Noobs - beginners - not skilled) can have a go at creating or changing the gun models or procedures to their own idea and methods.

anyway this is a very simple functional gun mod that was designed for VR and flat mode games.

Flat mode

Flat mode is vanilla style gameplay so no VR headset its the same as all mods. The gun models first person are functional and fit well on the screen without blocking view of the player yet showing its presents on screen.

VR mode

The weapons in the mode are scaled to match the real world counterparts sizes. (roughly - I'm no expert at gauging sizes of objects like engineers can.)

This means you can hold the gun up and aim it first person and role play with it like it would be a VR game.

How to use the guns in this mod.

To use the guns you first must craft them using the JEI recipes (dont cheat its more rewarding that way)

The JEI (its a mod like too many items)  function will provider you with a recipe to follow along crafting the specific items that you need.

once you have the ammo and the guns that use that ammo press LShift or if you change the reload button then that and the weapon will load the ammunition that it can hold into the weapon, then you can press the use button like a crossbow and fire the weapon.

The reason I set the reload button to Lshift (crouching/sneaking) button was so that in VR you can reload the weapon without having to configure anything.
