# The Farbound

The Farbound is a progression-driven exploration mod that takes you from mysterious Overworld ruins into strange, atmospheric dimensions. Discover lost architecture, uncover its secrets, and gather the materials needed to travel further.

## Your Journey Begins

Find scattered Drift Sites, collect Drift Shards, and craft a Wayfinder to locate a Drift Gate. Beyond it lies the Hollow: a vast underground world of colossal roots, luminous vegetation and forgotten civilisations.

## Explore the Hollow

Discover three distinct biomes:
- Rootwood Expanse — dense ancient roots, weathered terrain and overgrown chambers.
- Drowned Groves — broad lakes of hazardous Hollow Sap, submerged roots and flooded landscapes.
- Deep Bloom — dark chambers illuminated by concentrated fields of luminous plants.
The Hollow has its own wildlife, hostile creatures and changing weather. Rootwinds can throw you off course, Hollow Rain threatens exposed travellers, and Pressure Storms make exploration more demanding.
  
## Uncover What Was Left Behind

Explore ancient structures, solve the Conservatory’s interconnected puzzles, and challenge the Rootbound Colossus. Discover the Forge’s inhabitants and take on trial encounters for valuable rewards.

Collect Root Amber, work toward Rootforged equipment, and experiment with new materials, brewing effects and enchantments.

## Build with the Hollow
Bring its architecture into your own creations with extensive stone, wood, amber, glass and iron-grate building sets. Slabs, stairs, vertical shapes and material-matched bookshelves give you more ways to build.

An original soundtrack accompanies your travels through the Hollow.

## An Expanding Adventure

The Hollow is the first chapter of The Farbound. Further dimensions are planned; the later dimensions currently present in development are placeholders, rather than completed adventures.

This is a beta release, and therefore many things, such as some textures, are currently placeholders. Expect frequent changes and additions as development continues.

## Requirements

Install [Tinted Grove](https://modrinth.com/mod/tinted-grove) alongside The Farbound, using matching Minecraft and mod-loader versions. Check the individual download’s compatibility information before installing.
