The False One

The False One is a Minecraft horror mod built around a creature that doesn’t behave like a normal hostile mob.

It watches.

It waits.

It listens.

And eventually, it learns your voice.

For most of the time, The False One will simply appear somewhere nearby and observe you. It does not casually wander around — while stalking, it remains completely still, tracking nearby players with its head. Look away, and the next time you check, it may be somewhere completely different.

Features

• Advanced stalking AI — frequently appears at a distance and silently watches players.
• Day 3 encounter — your first real encounter with The False One begins around the third Minecraft day.
• Voice mimicry — integrates with Simple Voice Chat to temporarily capture short pieces of player speech and replay them from the creature's position.
• Unnatural voice effects — mimicked voices can have subtle randomized changes in pitch, tone and distortion.
• Multiplayer deception — The False One may use another player's captured voice to lure or confuse you.
• Dynamic horror ambience — random environmental sounds, distant creature calls and unsettling violin audio.
• Unpredictable appearances — while nobody is watching it, The False One can relocate to another stalking position.
• Closest-player tracking — it constantly watches the nearest player, even if someone else is its main target.
• Extreme chase mode — when a hunt begins, its behavior completely changes from motionless observer to extremely fast predator.
• Chase blindness — players temporarily lose visibility while being hunted.
• Heavy chase audio — rapid footsteps, a chase-start scream and continuous creature roaring.
• Wall climbing — reaching higher ground does not necessarily make you safe.
• Advanced pathfinding — it attempts to pursue players through difficult terrain and structures.
• Breaks wooden doors and glass while actively hunting.
• One-hit attack — if its attack connects, the player is killed.
• 400 health and complete knockback resistance.
• Custom GeckoLib model and animations.
• Custom sound design including distant calls, ambience, footsteps and chase audio.

The First Encounter

Around Day 3, The False One may appear nearby and simply watch you.

It will not immediately attack.

If you stare directly at it for long enough, your vision will briefly go dark.

When you can see again...

it may already be gone.

After this encounter, its normal stalking behavior begins.

Voice Mimicry

The False One uses Simple Voice Chat as one of its main horror mechanics.

Short pieces of voice-chat audio may be temporarily buffered so the creature can imitate players later. These clips are intended only for gameplay, are kept temporarily in memory, and are not permanently saved to disk by the mimic system.

Sometimes the copied voice may sound almost completely normal.

Other times, something will sound slightly... wrong.
