The Engineer's Toolkit 1.1.0 - Public Alpha 1
First public test build for Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.252 or later in the 1.21.1 series, and Java 21. Install the playable JAR on the client and server. Supported technology mods are optional and are not included.
Included
- Configuration Gadget with five independently named presets and a new inventory icon and 3D held model.
- Copy and paste supported machine, factory, pipe and conduit settings.
- Pipe settings align to the destination connection, including extraction from different directions.
- Inventory-funded upgrades, capacitors, filters, AE2 cards and patterns. Missing items skip only those additions; other supported settings still apply. Replaced items return to inventory or drop when full.
- Built-in support for Mekanism, Mekanism Extras, Pipez, Ender IO, AE2 and selected reviewed AE2 add-ons. See the project page and bundled compatibility guide for exact coverage and versions.
- Public compatibility API v1, JSON definitions and a separate developer kit with guides, API reference and an MIT-licensed example integration.
- In-game links to the project and bug tracker. The old development Test Machine is not included.
Controls
- Shift + right-click a supported block: copy into the selected preset.
- Right-click a compatible block: paste.
- Right-click empty air: choose or rename a preset.
- Shift + right-click empty air: clear its stored settings; its name is kept.
Alpha notes
Back up important worlds before testing. Coverage varies by device; this does not automatically support every installed technology mod. AE2 and some add-on integrations are restricted to reviewed versions. Additional add-on gameplay testing is welcome. The universal wrench, Create and Refined Storage integration are not included.
Mekanism upgrades are topped up to the requested count; excess upgrades are not removed. Machine contents, energy, ownership, wireless/network pairings and active crafting jobs are not copied. Previously placed development Test Machines disappear when loading this version.
Download the JAR for normal play. The separate author-kit ZIP is for developers and should not be installed in the mods folder. The API is already part of the main JAR.
Report a bug with versions, reproduction steps and relevant logs.
