It could be used to push your enchantments past their limits.
Just because they're made of stone, doesn't mean the water is safe.
Destroying it will invoke the incursion.

This is a maintained fork of The Dulling. We are not the original creators of the mod, credits go to Swigytown.
The Dulling - Encore is an optimized fork of The Dulling for use in modpacks. The mod size has been optimized by 60% among performance improvements.
It has devoured countless worlds, and now its gaze is upon yours. Will you let it take everything from you?
The Dulling is a post-Vanilla endgame Incursion built to act as a final challenge for an already established world.
Once activated, a hostile Incursion begins spreading across your world, evolving over time and escalating into a Solar Eclipse that triggers a Global Snowstorm (if my mixins don't fucking break again). The Overworld is not their only target; the Dull Church can invade any dimension, even from other mods.
They try to estimate where your base is located and send units to invade your home.
They use Veils that can latch onto almost any mob and take control of them.
They learn by analyzing attributes, observing behavioral patterns, remembering past battles and behaviors, and with this info they determine the best strategy to defeat a target.
They steal biomass from infection mods and use it to augment themselves.
They take everything from you.
The mod adds:
- 14 boss battles and counting.
- 100+ unique enemies and counting.
- Not just one "infection", but TWO. The second is a birch-themed counter-infection known as "The Burgeoning" that can awaken and help fight the Dulling.
- A Magic System with 30+ unique magic weapons and 8 magic armors.
- 2 dimensions constantly receiving more features, with a total of 7 new biomes, along with a new biome in the Nether just for fun (unfortunately, it is incompatible with most Nether biome mods at the moment).
- Multiple armor sets, toolsets, weapons, enchantments, and progression systems.
- Ancient Enchantments, a powerful class of enchantments that exist as far stronger versions of vanilla enchantments. They have a unique method of acquisition accessible in the late game, and there exists an Ancient Enchantment for every vanilla enchantment.
To start the Incursion, go to 0, 0, 0, and destroy the Sacrilegious Core that keeps your world safe.
