Play survival as usual while a timer counts down in the corner. When it reaches zero the world freezes, a heartbeat starts and the Croupier spins a 20-slot wheel. While it turns, nothing can touch you. Then it stops, and you live with whatever it landed on.
Leaving the game won't save you. The wheel waits for you to come back.

Good results reward you, bad ones collect, and chaos ones bend the rules for a while. Rarer results get narrower slots on the wheel, from Common to Mythic.

MLG. You fall from the sky with a water bucket in hand. One chance.

Mini. Half your size for 3 minutes. Giant does the opposite.

Plague. Hostile mobs from the area appear around you. This time, six creepers.

The Croupier keeps it. A reel runs through your inventory, and one item is gone for good.
Also on the wheel: enchanted gear, an extra heart that stays even after you die, an obsidian cage, another player's backpack, Hardcore with one life left, and a rare chance to choose your own fate.

Take a hit that would kill you and the wheel spins first. You might come back at full health, wake up in your bed with one heart, or die and watch the Croupier take part of your items. Russian roulette is a coin flip between full health and losing everything. Every death makes the bad results harsher.

Fight the Wither or the Ender Dragon and the regular spin turns into a combat one: a strike that takes a chunk of the boss's health, an iron golem at your side, reinforcements for the boss, or your weapon on the floor.
When a boss drops below half health, everyone nearby spins the same wheel together. The Wither might lose its armor or bring a twin. The Dragon might lose every crystal, or get them all back.

- Stronghold. Thirty seconds after you first walk into one, the Croupier deals eyes of ender, gear for the End, a trip to the farthest room or, very rarely, a ticket straight to the End.
- Where you stand. Underground, in water, at night, on low health, in the Nether, in the End, near a village or in a thunderstorm, the wheel adds results that only make sense there.
- The Croupier talks. Twelve lines for every moment, whispered in chat.

You get The Rules of the House the first time you join a world: ten pages in the Croupier's own handwriting.
