Ramesses' Curse 1.2.5 Release Notes
Supported versions: Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge / Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge
These notes compare 1.2.5 against 1.2.1 and do not repeat features already listed for 1.2.1.

[End Expedition and the Sun-Eater Isle]
- Added the Sun-Eater Isle deep within the End outer islands and registered it as a structure discoverable with /locate.
- The island uses a fractured, fine-grained mixture of End Stone, Obsidian, Crying Obsidian, and Eternal Silence blocks.
- Added ten mixed-material crystal towers, iron-bar crystal cages, golden Heka Radiant Crystals, and expedition obelisk platforms.
- After the vanilla Ender Dragon is defeated, an expedition obelisk rises layer by layer near the central island, with block sounds and particles.
- Players wearing the Seal of Kadesh can use the Sun-Eater Beacon to travel between the central island and the Sun-Eater Isle.
- When Goety is installed, crystal towers contain Obsidian Monoliths linked to their crystals, without spawning Apostles or other guardian creatures.
- Each crystal must be struck twice before it is destroyed and rapidly heals Apep while active.

[New Boss: Apep, Sun-Eater of the End]
- Added Apep as a standalone black, crimson, and violet boss with custom emissive rendering. Other mods no longer identify it as a normal Ender Dragon variant.
- Preserved and expanded the vanilla dragon's flight phases, wing animation, roars, hit sounds, and death sounds. Apep remains airborne at all times.
- Apep attacks every valid creature on the island, including Creative-mode players, while excluding Heka crystals and tower guardians.
- Apep is immune to knockback, Slowness, and movement reduction. A moving chunk ticket keeps the boss active when players are farther away.
- The fight has three phases with 330, 550, and 1,024 health by default, 20 armor, and 15%, 25%, and 35% phase damage reduction.
- At each phase transition, cages and crystals are rebuilt in a fast sequential animation. The crystals link to the island center and charge an explosive re-entry.
- Apep becomes progressively more crimson in later phases.
- Only direct base damage from the player's main-hand weapon is accepted; enchantments, NBT bonuses, and Curios bonuses are excluded.
- Base weapon damage is capped at 100 per accepted hit before phase reduction, followed by two seconds of damage immunity.
- Each accepted hit has a 25% chance to make Apep invisible for three seconds.

[Apep Combat Skills]
- Reworked Dive and Lightning Prison: the target is tracked during ascent, but the impact point becomes fixed once the dive begins and is marked by a distinct arrow.
- A direct dive deals 100 true damage by default and launches the victim more than ten blocks upward. Moving roughly 4.5 blocks away from the fixed marker avoids it.
- Follow-up shockwaves and lightning remain centered on the committed impact point instead of following the player.
- Added Devouring Black Hole, featuring gravitational-lensing post-processing, continuous attraction, and a final collapse blast.
- Attraction now stops immediately when the black hole collapses or is interrupted, and residual inward velocity is cleared.
- Added Eclipse Breath, which telegraphs a fixed beam path before releasing a sustained burning breath attack that can be sidestepped.
- Added Shadow of Apep, temporarily concealing the boss while multiple directional shadow paths are telegraphed and struck in sequence.
- Added configuration for phase skill chances, black-hole behavior, breath behavior, shadow strikes, dive damage, and launch force.

[Curios Sealing]
- Curios worn inside Apep's combat area are covered by a white sealed overlay.
- Sealing suppresses attribute modifiers, persistent buffs, and standard Curios tick mechanics, including revival effects from this mod.
- Servers may disable sealing, adjust its radius, and define an item whitelist.
- Sealing ends immediately after leaving the island, truly respawning outside the island, or when Apep is gone.
- An in-place revival from another mod does not bypass the seal while the player remains on the island and Apep is alive.

[Crown of Apep and the Finale]
- Apep now drops the Crown of Apep after its final death. The crown floats, glows red, and draws End particles toward itself.
- The dropped crown never despawns, cannot be damaged, and ignores ordinary item-clear commands. It disappears only when collected by a player.
- Only a crown dropped by Apep carries an authentic power tag. Creative inventory, /give, and other copies remain wearable but have no power, detailed tooltip, or ritual authority.
- An authentic crown rolls one damage authority. While worn in a charm slot, attacks have a 25% chance to deal extra damage of that type equal to 25% of the wearer's current health.
- Holding Shift reveals the selected damage type and its actual damage behavior.
- Collecting the crown moves surviving island players to the nearest obelisk platform before starting a ten-second destruction countdown.
- Reworked the final blast with a longer flash, tinnitus, an expanding spherical shockwave, synchronized explosion audio, and persistent area damage.
- The blast destroys the island surface while preserving the crystal towers for future revival attempts.
- Added the Ten-Tower Revival: wear an authentic crown and place one Heka Radiant Crystal on each of the ten tower pedestals.
- The crystals connect around the island and converge above its center for a ten-second charge, rebuild the surface, and return Phase One Apep to normal combat.

[Eternal Void and Void Gateway]
- Added the Eternal Void, a terrainless dimension with custom dense fog and a protected arrival platform.
- After defeating the vanilla Ender Dragon, wear an authentic Crown of Apep and offer 15 Embers of Duat, five bottles of Dragon's Breath, and three Heka Radiant Crystals at the central exit portal.
- Ritual offerings are prevented from being teleported away by the vanilla portal and are consumed together once the full requirement is present.
- A successful ritual plays lightning, shockwave, and frame-formation effects before replacing the exit portal with a horizontal recolored gateway.
- Each world receives three entries into the Eternal Void by default. Returning to the End does not consume another entry.
- After all entries are spent, the gateway disappears and the vanilla End exit portal is restored.

[Dynasty Grand Cathedral]
- Added the massive Dynasty Grand Cathedral. Exactly one is generated in the Nether and one in the Eternal Void, and both can be found with /locate structure ramesses_curse:grand_cathedral.
- The Nether cathedral foundation is placed at Y=126, and Light Gray Concrete placeholder blocks were removed from its template.
- Extended Nether build height so the approximately 236-block-tall cathedral can generate in full.
- Chunked, deferred structure placement and improved section stitching reduce memory spikes and freezes when teleporting to the structure.
- Natural Nether terrain no longer intrudes into the cathedral, while the Eternal Void cathedral is positioned close to its arrival platform.
- Players without the Seal of Kadesh are rejected by a barrier boundary around the cathedral.
- Added common, treasure, and void cathedral loot tables with tiered endgame rewards and optional loot from installed mods.

[Items, Ores, and Recipes]
- Added Duat Fractured Phase Ore to Duat sandstone layers at roughly Lapis Lazuli rarity.
- Changed right-click feedback for the dimensional Fractured Phase Ores to purple particles.
- Enabled finished item textures and recipes for the Sun-Eater Beacon and Eternal Conquest.
- The Sun-Eater Beacon recipe uses the ultimate ingot progression and Date Palm Logs.
- Eternal Conquest retains affix materials in recipe slots 1, 3, 6, and 9, with Nether Stars and Torchflowers in the remaining slots.
- Updated the Heka Radiant Crystal item to match its golden entity appearance and added a recipe using one End Crystal and four Embers of Duat.
- Eternal Silence Totem revivals no longer depend on repairable durability. They now use an internal five-charge limit shown on a separate red tooltip line.

[Curse, Dynasty Shield, and UI Changes]
- Curse Two no longer periodically summons monsters. Villagers encountered by the cursed player are instead forcibly converted into Zombie Villagers, while the recurring Luck loss remains.
- Added permanent attack damage, attack speed, movement speed, health, toughness, End damage reduction, and End experience bonuses to reversed Curse Seven.
- Added Judgment, chained Judgment, and randomized Royal Decree mechanics to reversed Curse Seven, with full configuration support.
- Once every curse is reversed, the Seal of Kadesh changes from a -5 maximum-health penalty to a +20 maximum-health bonus.
- Curse Nine now displays the remaining number of unique foods, synchronized with both configuration and live player progress.
- Simplified Shift descriptions for all curses so reversal solutions are no longer directly revealed while important penalty values remain visible.
- Curse Nine now removes two hunger points on death and grants one Satiety Crystal. If its inscriptions remain unsolved when hunger debt reaches zero, all attributes are reduced by 99%.
- Corrected Dynasty Shield affix lifetimes: shield-bound effects such as damage caps disappear when the shield breaks, while lifetime affixes persist until the entity dies.
- Fixed Unyielding allowing the same entity to revive repeatedly or indefinitely. It can now trigger only once per entity.
- Added Dynasty Threat, shield level, affix level, active affixes, Royal Guilt, and Mercy to the L2Library information tab.
- Added commands to toggle natural threat growth and disable all Dynasty affixes at once, and removed the obsolete Satiety Crystal finder command.

[Text, Manual, Compatibility, and Optimization]
- Expanded the Duat inscription pool from 98 to 198 entries with Goety, Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, and Ramesses' Curse-themed inscriptions.
- Integration inscriptions enter the pool only when their corresponding mod is installed and now use subtler lore-oriented titles.
- Added Goety Obsidian Monolith integration. Eligible high-tier Dynasty enemies roll once, on their first successful player hit, to summon protection.
- Added procedural three-dimensional Uraeus trails, chaotic storm formations, impact bursts, and Edict of the Two Lands effects; fixed shader-related black screens and broken sky rendering.
- Optimized clear-weather particles, trail sampling, very large structure placement, Apep chunk activity, and multiplayer synchronization.
- Expanded Curios version compatibility and sealing interception, fixing cases where accessory abilities remained active in modpacks.
- Greatly expanded the bilingual Patchouli guide with recipes, material progression, expeditions, Apep, crown revival, the Void Gateway, and cathedral chapters.
- Completed additional English tooltips and manual translations, with wrapping fixes for long English item descriptions that previously extended beyond the screen.
- Synchronized Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1 functionality for version 1.2.5.
