The Crimson Dawn

A Divine grade crossbow. When loaded with any kind of arrow, will convert into 5 arrows in a spread. It has a VERY long range, and will have more damage from further range. If a arrow does not hit an entity target, it will explode doing large aoe damage. This explosion also carries effects of any enchantments on the crossbow itself. When dropped onto any surface / ground as an item entity, will transform into a block entity instead and become a ballista turret that fires upon any hostiles automatically. Pick back up as item with sneak + right click. 

The crossbow will be called the crimson dawn.
