Version 1.0.2 is a visual and progression-feedback update for The Convergence, the 136-node interconnected RPG skill web for Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric.

Release highlights

• All 136 skill nodes now use original, node-specific dark-fantasy pixel-art icons designed for the node's identity and branch color.
• Leveling up now plays the licensed Level Up 08 sound by Universfield and triggers a new original golden aura, rising-light, and central-surge effect around the player.
• Learning a node now lights the incoming connection, briefly enlarges and flashes the node, and releases a branch-colored ring and spark burst.
• Successful skill purchases now use a reliable local amethyst UI chime with no distance falloff.
• Locked nodes, failed purchases, and insufficient-point clicks do not trigger the success effect.

Updating from 1.0.1

Close Minecraft, remove the previous Convergence JAR, and place the-convergence-1.0.2.jar in the same mods folder. Never leave two versions of The Convergence installed at once.

The mod ID, attachment IDs, node IDs, tree coordinates, requirements, ranks, effects, level cap, and save format are unchanged. Existing worlds and player progression remain compatible, and no respec is required. Back up important worlds before changing any mod list.

Install the mod on the server and every connecting client for multiplayer.

Scope

This update changes presentation and feedback only. It does not change node balance or passive-effect behavior. Only Fabric 26.2 and English text are supported. Mods that replace the same vanilla mechanics may alter passive results.

The bundled level-up sound is used under the Pixabay Content License and is documented in NOTICE.md and ASSET_PROVENANCE.md. The level-up particle textures and skill icons are original project assets.
