The Coinage

The Coinage adds an ancient physical currency to Minecraft — copper, silver and gold coins, a specialized Coin Purse, new trading opportunities, treasure loot, archaeology integration and a currency system built for modded gameplay.

The coins are remnants of a civilization that disappeared long before the modern inhabitants of the Minecraft world. Its currency survived underground, inside ruins, forgotten treasure and archaeological remains — and has since found its way back into circulation.

The Coinage is designed to feel like a natural part of Minecraft rather than a modern economy simulator.

🪙 Ancient Physical Currency

The Coinage introduces three denominations:

• Copper Coin
• Silver Coin
• Gold Coin

Coins are real items.

You can find them, carry them, store them, trade them, drop them, give them to other players or use them as currency in compatible systems.

There are no digital balances, bank accounts or invisible wallets.

👝 Coin Purse

Managing hundreds of individual coins shouldn't become inventory management.

The Coin Purse provides dedicated storage for all three denominations and can hold far more coins than normal item stacks.

When you pick up coins while carrying a purse, they can be deposited directly into it automatically.

The purse keeps track of:

• Copper
• Silver
• Gold

while remaining a normal physical item that you carry with you.

⚙️ Made for Modpacks

The Coinage is designed as both a standalone gameplay mod and a currency foundation for larger modpacks.

Its systems are built around:

• configurable gameplay
• datapack-friendly content
• physical currency
• server-authoritative payments
• optional integrations
• compatibility with other mods
• a public currency API

Other mods can use The Coinage for rewards, purchases and payments without needing to implement their own currency storage systems.

This makes it suitable for RPG packs, adventure packs, medieval worlds, Create-based packs and multiplayer servers.
