What's new

Fabric support

  • The mod now ships for Fabric as well as NeoForge, built from one shared codebase. Download the JAR matching your loader: tbos-neoforge-26.1.2-<version>.jar or tbos-fabric-26.1.2-<version>.jar. On Fabric you also need Fabric API. Gameplay, worldgen and saved data are identical on both.

Archive floor theme textures

  • All eight theme palettes (floor, wall, roof, trim) were rebuilt to match Archive craft: beveled tiles, ashlar masonry, panel grids, and wood shelving instead of dotted placeholder fills. Theme materials stay distinct per floor.

The Archivist's Journal is readable again

  • Every heading, tab label and description in the Journal was being drawn with a drop shadow, which on the pale parchment rendered as a second smeared copy of the text one pixel down and to the right. The shadows are gone.
  • The inactive tab's label was dark brown on a dark olive tab — about 1.1:1 contrast, effectively invisible. Inactive tabs now use light ink and brighten further on hover.
  • At small window sizes or high GUI scale the Story rows and the Archive Run statistics ran straight through the progress bar at the bottom of the page. Both lists now reserve the footer and compress instead, and a long step title is trimmed rather than colliding with its counter.

Breaking change: config format

  • Settings moved from config/tbos-common.toml to config/tbos-common.json, and the client settings to config/tbos-client.json, so that both loaders read the same file. The old .toml is not migrated. If you had customised values, re-enter them in the new file; every default is unchanged.
