Vanilla Botania feels too slow in the early game? This lightweight addon fixes that.

Botania Fundamentals rebalances Botania's generating flowers, adds quality-of-life automation, and optimizes mana infrastructure — all fully configurable and documented inside the Lexica Botania itself.

Built with Mixins for maximum compatibility. No new items, no new blocks, no bloat. Just a better Botania.

✨ Features

🔥 Endoflame Rebalance

The Endoflame's mana output is multiplied so Coal generates ~5,000 mana instead of the vanilla ~1,200. The early game no longer feels like watching paint dry. Fully adjustable via config.

💧 Petal Apothecary Auto-Refill

Place water adjacent to your Petal Apothecary (below or on any side) and it refills itself automatically — no more bucket spam between crafts.

🌊 Hydroangea Buff

Mana output multiplied ×5 by default.
Decay disabled — your Hydroangeas will never wilt and die.

⚡ Mana Spreader Optimizations

Designed for large mana networks:

Idle Skip — Spreaders with no mana and no target skip expensive checks for N ticks (default 5), saving CPU.
Target-Full Cache — Spreaders wait N ticks (default 20) before re-checking a target that was already full.

💎 Terrasteel Cost Reduction

The Terrestrial Agglomeration Plate's mana cost is halved per ingot.

Every feature gets its own dedicated page inside the Lexica Botania under a new "Botania Fundamentals" category. No guesswork — the documentation lives where it belongs.

📥 Installation

Install Forge 47+ for Minecraft 1.20.1.
Install Botania and Patchouli.
Drop botaniafundamentals-1.2.2.jar into your mods/ folder.
Launch the game — the config file generates automatically on first run.

🤔 FAQ

Does this break vanilla Botania progression?
No. It accelerates early-game mana generation so you spend less time waiting and more time building. All values are configurable — set any multiplier to 1.0 to restore vanilla behavior.

Is this server-safe?
Yes. All changes happen server-side. Clients only need the mod installed for the Lexica Botania pages.

Will this conflict with other Botania addons?
Unlikely. The mod uses targeted Mixins on specific methods rather than replacing entire classes.
