Description
Past Alteration is a Forge 1.20.1 mod that lets players stop time, rewind the world by up to 60 real-time seconds, and rewrite past events. Restore destroyed blocks, revive previously living entities, reposition mobs, players, projectiles, items, blocks, and fluids, then commit the altered timeline as the new present.
The mod also features AI-based mob movement prediction, automatic death recall, editable past-player echoes, equipment alteration, complete timeline freezing, and protection against explosions during time reversal. Inspired by Yhwach’s “The Almighty” from Bleach.
How to obtain the power?
Use the following command to obtain The Almighty:
/schrift give The_Almighty <your Minecraft username>
Key Controls
-
V — Open / Close The Almighty
Activates or deactivates the ability. While active, moving mobs display blue translucent afterimages predicting their movement up to 1.5 seconds ahead. -
N — Timeline Selection
Completely stops time and opens the timeline slider. Select any recorded moment from 0 to 60 real-time seconds in the past. -
G — Grab and Move
During past alteration, hold G while looking at a mob, player, projectile, dropped item, block, or past-player echo. Move your view to reposition the selected target. -
Shift + G — Grab Fluids
Used exclusively for moving independent water or lava blocks. Regular G ignores fluids. -
Mouse Wheel — Adjust Grab Distance
While holding a block or past-player echo with G, scroll to change its distance. Distance adjustment is disabled for mobs, players, projectiles, and other entities. -
R — Alter Equipment
During past alteration, look at a mob or player and press R to inspect their equipment and inventory. You may secretly steal or forcibly destroy one item. Making a choice immediately commits the altered timeline and resumes time. -
U — Commit the Altered Past
Confirms all changes made during past alteration, establishes them as the new present, and resumes time. -
ESC / Cancel Button — Restore the Original Present
Closes the timeline selection or cancels past editing. All uncommitted changes are discarded.
Additional Controls
- Normal left-click attacks and most right-click interactions are disabled during past editing to prevent crashes and unintended changes.
- Blocks can still be placed with right-click while editing the past.
- Non-awakened players are completely frozen and have their vision blocked while timeline selection, time reversal, or past alteration is active.
- If an awakened player receives fatal damage, timeline selection automatically opens once per 60-second cooldown.
